The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) postponed all the recruitment exams due to the further extension of the nationwide lockdown.

The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) postponed all the recruitment exams due to the further extension of the nationwide lockdown. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on April 14, announced a further extension of the lockdown in order to contain the spread of contagious COVID-19. In the view of the same, Kerala PSC postponed all the examinations including OMR/ online/ dictation/ writing exams that were scheduled from April 16 to May 30.

To confirm the news, the Kerala PSC released an official notification on its website that reads, ‘In view of the lockdown extension to avoid coronavirus pandemic, Kerala Public Service Commission has postponed all OMR/ Online/ Dictation. Written exams which were scheduled from April 16 to 30, 2020.

According to the reports, updated dates and revised schedules for the postponed examinations will be announced later by the commission. The commission will also announce the time and exam centre along with the updated date. The Kerala PSC official notice further reads, ‘The updated date will be announced later. The exam city and time will be intimated along with the updated exam date.’

Candidates who are supposed to appear for Kerala PSC examination are advised to follow the official website for all the authentic latest updates.

With the extension of the lockdown, the Ministry of Human Resource and Development declared that all academic and training institutions shall remain closed until May 3. The outbreak of the novel coronavirus raptured the education system around the globe. Amid closed campuses, deferred classes, and postponed examinations, the government is trying to explore different ways to continue the teaching-learning process among the students.
