Breaking! NDA (I) 2020 exam date to be announced on June 5

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will announce NDA (I) exam date on June 5. Earlier, the exam date was expected to be out on May 20. However, UPSC in a single-line notice on its official website has informed that the exam date will be announced on June 5 after assessing the situation. The commission will upload a revised examination calendar for 2020. NDA aspirants have to wait for some more days for the exam dates.

The press release issued by UPSC in this regard reads, "The commission had conducted a special meeting on May 20, 2020, to review the situation after the third phase of nation-wide lockdown due to COVID-19. Taking notice of the extension of several restrictions, the Commission decided that it will not be possible to resume examinations and interviews for the present."

"The Commission, however, took note of the progressive relaxations being announced by the Central Government and various States and has decided to review the situation once more after the fourth period of lockdown. The commission will issue a revised schedule of examinations in its next meeting on June 5," the notice reads.

NDA (I) 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on April 19, however, UPSC had postponed the exam due to nation-wide lockdown following the outbreak of COVID-19.

NDA I admit card 2020 will be released three weeks before the exam. Candidates can access the admit card online from the official website by logging with registration number or roll number. NDA admit card will have information regarding the exam and candidates’ personal details.

According to NDA exam pattern, the written exam comprises two papers: I and II. Paper I comprises Mathematics and Paper II comprises GAT. The total marks allotted to the written exam are 900. Duration of the exam paper will be 2 ½ hours. On the basis of candidates’ performance in written exam, they will be called to appear for SSB Interview.

NDA (II) 2020 notification will be released on June 10. NDA recruitment is conducted for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).
