There is good news for railway aspirants who have applied for RRB NTPC exam because the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have invited tenders on behalf of the President of India for Exam Conducting Agency (ECA). The agency will conduct the Computer Based Test (CBT) of RRB NTPC exam. Besides, the agency will also be responsible for other exam related activities like processing of results and panels.
RRB NTPC 2020 notification issued regarding this reads, “Only e-tenders will be accepted by the RRBs. The document for the tender can be downloaded from IREPS portal, ireps.gov.in. The cost of tender document and Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) will be deposited through online payment gateway.”

Expected Exam Dates
RRB NTPC exam dates will be announced after the tenders for examination authority is finalized. RRBs are likely to announce RRB NTPC and RRB Group D exam dates after April 16. Though RRBs have not announced the dates yet, however, it is expected because the result of tender will be released on April 16. RRB Group D admit Card & RRB NTPC admit card will be released four days before the scheduled date of CBT.
Earlier, RRBs had released an official notification regarding meeting with Exam Conducting Agency (ECA) for conducting the Computer Based Tests (CBT) on September 18, 2019. However, no update on the same is available yet.
Due to the delay in the exam dates, several candidates had filed RTI to the RRBs. In the RTI reply, RRBs had mentioned that the exam schedule is not finalized.
Number of applications received
The combined applications for the two examinations are over 2.4 crores. A total of 1,15,67,248 candidates had registered for Group D Exam and 1,26,30,885 candidates had registered for RRB NTPC. The total number of vacancies announced for RRB NTPC is 35,208 while it is 1,03,769 for RRB Group D.

RRB NTPC selection process comprises, 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable) and Document Verification/Medical Examination.
Candidates under Group D recruitment will be selected based on Computer Based Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination.
