RRB NTPC result CBT 1 2021 result and introduction of second stage CBT in RRB Group D recruitment sparked controversy and triggered protests in several parts of the country. Amid the protests by students, Ministry of Railways have stayed the RRB Group D and RRB NTPC exams and formed a high-level committee to re-examine the result and methodology used for shortlisting candidates for second stage and introduction of second stage CBT in RRB Group D exam. All RRB chairpersons have been asked to listen to the concerns of students, compile them and send them to the committee. Railways have asked the candidates to submit their grievances formally both online and offline. The link to submit the grievances have been activated by the RRBs. Even RRBs have also released FAQs amidst violence over the recruitment exams.
Candidates can submit their grievances through different modes till February 16. The committee will examine the grievances and submit its report by March 4. RRBs are expected to publish RRB NTPC revised result and there will be no CBT 2 exam for RRB Group D. Sushil Kumar Modi, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha & Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar through his social media handle has informed that Railways will announce 3.50 lakh more results for RRB NTPC and there will be one exam for RRB Group D.
RRB NTPC 2021 CBT 1 result was announced on January 14. The second stage CBT exam was scheduled to be conducted from February 15 to 19. RRB Group D exam was scheduled to be conducted from February 23 onwards.

Issue of irregularities in RRB NTPC & RRB Group D exams raised in Rajya Sabha
Rajya Sabha members asked the government to examine the allegations of irregularities RRB Group D and RRB NTPC exams leading to the violence in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Raising the issue during the zero hour in Rajya Sabha, Fauzia Khan of the NCP said recruitment process of the railway examination has exposed the deeper issues of unemployment and a failed education system. Sushil Kumar Modi, Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar also raised the issue of RRB NTPC and RRB Group D exams.

RRBs releases FAQs to answer queries of candidates
RRBs issued a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), to resolve the issues raised by job aspirants who have resorted to violence and protests over alleged irregularities in the screening process of its exams. The FAQs have explained in details what is the role of RRBs, previous recruitments, intend behind conducting two-stage CBTs, selection process, steps taken to address the protesting students, delay behind the recruitment process, formation of high power committee and details regarding submission of grievances.

Student Unions Observe Bihar Bandh
A Bihar bandh has been called on January 28 to protest the irregularities in the RRB NTPC results. The bandh supporters burnt tyres, staged demonstration and recited impromptu verses.

Student Unions Calls for Bihar Bandh
Amid the continued RRB NTPC 2021 result protests, the student union AISA and other youth organisations have called for Bihar bandh on January 28. Even after Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw formed a committee to look into the grievances of students related to the results and assured to re-examine the results, many students refused to bog down. They even termed the committee formed by the Railway Ministry as a ‘hoax’.

Railways to qualify 3.5 lakh more in RRB NTPC, conduct one CBT in RRB Group D, says Sushil Kumar Modi
Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha & Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi, said that he met Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw to discuss his concerns regarding the recruitment exam. During the meeting, he communicated to the Railway Minister that only one CBT must be conducted in Group D recruitment instead of two, additional 3.5 lakh candidates must be qualified under the ‘one-candidate-unique result system. The Railway Minister has reassured that these pointers will be taken into consideration while announcing the final verdict.
Priyanka Gandhi slams NDA government over RRB NTPC protest
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra slammed the National Democratic Alliance government over RRB NTPC protest after police in Bihar lathi-charged and used tear gas shells against the protestors. . She said that a revolution will take place around the country against the oppression of youth and the arrogance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be shattered.

Amid RRB NTPC 2021 result protests, Ministry of Railways have put RRB NTPC and RRB Group D exams on hold. The exam dates for both the recruitments will be announced once the high power committee submit its report.

Protestors burn Trains in Gaya and Arrah
RRB NTPC protest turned violent on January 26 when a large number of agitators set several coaches of New Delhi-bound Shramjeevi Express train on fire in Gaya. Protestors also burnt a train in Arrah.

RRBs warn candidates of lifetime debarment from rail jobs
Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) on January 25 had issued a statement warning candidates of getting debarred from obtaining railway jobs. In the notice, RRBs have mentioned that those candidates found indulging in unlawful activities/vandalism protesting on railway tracks, disruption of train operations, damaging railway properties, etc. will be rendered unsuitable and lifetime debarment from railway jobs.
