UPPSC UPPCS main exam 2019 postponed: See here details
UPPSC PCS main exam 2019 postponed due to coronavirus pandemic. New dates will be announced soon. Read below details.
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has postponed the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate Exam also called as the UPPSC UPPCS main exam 2019 due to coronavirus spread and the consequent lockdown in the state.
The commission in the past issued a notice that the exam will not be postponed and the commission was accepting the UPPSC UPPCS main exam Detailed Application Form (DAF) till April 19, 2020 that was one day before the exam.

The new exam dates for the UPPCS main exam2019 will be notified later. This will compel the UPPSC to re-plan the exams and re-issue a fresh exam calendar for 2020. The UPPSC UPPCS prelims exam was conducted across the state on December 15, 2019. Approximately 4 lakh candidates appeared in the prelims exam. It was conducted amid the rumours of its postponement.

The UPPCS exam is a three-stage exam. These three stages include the following
- UPPSC Prelims exam
- UPPSC Main exam
- UPPSC Interview
The UPPSC Prelims exam works as a screening exam and it filters out the candidates. The UPPSC prelims exam is an offline exam conducted across the state. This exam is an objective type exam having two question papers. The first paper asks about the current affairs and static general studies topics. The second paper in an aptitude paper which is qualifying in nature. The candidates need to score 33% in the second paper.
The selected candidates are called for the UPPCS main exam which is an offline descriptive exam. There are eight descriptive papers in the UPPSC main exam and the candidates need to compete to get selected in the UPPSC UPPCS exam.
