The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) exam determines a person's eligibility to be appointed as a teacher in any school in India. As per the Right to Education (RTE) Act, a candidate should pass the TET exam which the appropriate Government conducts according to the guidelines framed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The TET 2024 is organised at the central level and state levels. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) at the national level. At the state level, various states hold TETs yearly such as TSTET, UPTET, REET, TNTET, MAHA TET, OTET, HP TET, KTET, and others.

Q: Â How many papers does one need to give to qualify the TNTET exam?
Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 5 need to qualify TNTET Paper 1. Candidates planning to teach Classes 6 to 8 need to qualify for TNTET Paper 2. The qualifying marks for UTET (Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test) for all categories, including OBC (Other Backward Classes), is 55%. CTET 2024 (December)
The CTET Dec 2024 exam will be held on December 14, 2024. The CTET answer key 2024 will be released soon. The CTET admit card 2024 was released on December 12, 2024. The CBSE CTET 2024 notification was released on September 17 for the conduct of the 20th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The CTET application form 2024 was available from September 17 to October 16, 2024.

Q: Â Am I eligible for TNTET if I've completed my B.Ed?
Yes, if you have completed a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree, you are eligible to appear for TNTET for the upper primary level (Classes VI-VIII). To be eligible for TNTET, you must have a Bachelor's degree and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a Bachelor's degree and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
So, if you have completed your B.Ed degree, you can meet the educational qualification criteria for TNTET. However, you need to check other eligibility criteria such as nationality, age limit, etc. before applying for the examination.
TS TET 2024 II
The TS TET 2024 II notification was released on November 7, 2024. The TS TET or TG TET application form 2024 was available from November 7 to 20, 2024. The TG TET exam will be held from January 1 to 20, 2025.
MAHA TET 2024
The MAHA TET result 2024 will be announced soon. The MAHA TET answer key 2024 has been released. The MAHA TET exam was held on November 10, 2024. The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) released the MAHATET notification 2024 on September 9, 2024, at mahatet.in. The MAHA TET application form 2024 is available from September 9 to 30, 2024.
HP TET 2024
The HP TET 2024 exam was held on November 15, November 17, November 24 and 26, 2024 for JBT, Shastri, TGT (Non-Medical), Language Teacher, TGT (Arts), TGT (Medical), Punjabi and Urdu Language Teachers. The HP TET application form 2024 for the November session was available from September 28 to October 21, 2024. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) released the official notification for the HP TET Nov 2024 exam on September 26, 2024.
KTET Nov 2024
The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan released the KTET notification 2024 on November 6, 2024. The KTET apply online 2024 link was available from November 11 to 20, 2024.
JTET 2024: Jharkhand TET 2024
The JTET 2024 notification was released on July 23, 2024, on the official website—https://www.jactetportal.com/. The JTET application form 2024 was available until August 30, 2024. The Jharkhand TET exam will be conducted soon.
AP TET 2024
The AP TET results 2024 of the July session were released on November 4, 2024. Candidates needed to obtain AP TET passing marks 2024. The AP TET exam was held from October 3 to 21, 2024. The AP TET notification 2024 was released on July 2, 2024, as a PDF at aptet.apcfss.in. The AP TET application form 2024 is now available from July 4 to August 3, 2024.

UPTET 2024
UPTET Notification 2024 will be released soon on the official website. Recently, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh announced that the UPTET exam conduction authority will be changed for the next exam session. The new exam authority will be the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Commission. However, the official announcement and press release are yet to be done.

Assam TET Cancelled
Assam Education Minister informed that the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test has been cancelled for two years. The reason behind the cancellation is the sufficient number of TET-qualified candidates in Assam. Further, the education minister added that though there will be no TET exam for the next two years but the teacher recruitment exams will be conducted to recruit the teacher in lower primary (LP) and upper primary (UP) schools of Assam.

TET 2024 Eligibility criteria
To appear for the TET 2024, candidates should fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria comprising the educational qualification and age limit. The TET eligibility criteria differ from state to state. However, the basic criteria remain the same that candidates need to fulfil to appear for a TET. The basic eligibility criteria are:

The TET exam pattern 2024 usually contains 150 objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 150 marks. The time duration given to complete a TET paper is typically 150 minutes (two and a half hours).

How to prepare for TET 2024?

TET Result 2024: Applicability
Every year, lakhs of aspirants from different parts of the country appear for TETs to obtain eligibility for teacher recruitment to the following posts:
- Primary Teachers (PRTs): For Classes 1-5
- Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs): For Classes 6-8
- Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs): For Classes 9-12
Candidates who seek to become primary teachers for classes 1 to 5 appear for Paper 1 under the respective TET exam and candidates who want to teach classes 6 to 8 appear for Paper 2 exam. TET Result: Validity of Certificate
Candidates who qualify for the exam are awarded the TET eligibility certificate. The TET certificate is now valid for life. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) extended the TET certificate validity to a lifetime in June 2021. Candidates who qualify for the TET exam once and obtain the certificate can now apply for teacher recruitment until they fulfill the school's prescribed eligibility criteria.
