UPTET 2019 over; Cases of candidates missing the exam & cheating reported

The first shift of UPTET 2019 is over now. The exam was held from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM at various test centres across India. The second shift of UPTET exam is currently underway. The exam is being held from 2:30-5:00 PM.
Many Candidates Missed the UPTET 2019 Exam
Many candidates giving the exam could not appear for the first shift paper as they could not reach the centre in time. The reasons were many including heavy rain and traffic jam. However, at one of the centres in Ghaziabad, some candidates missed the exam as the name of the test centre was incorrect on the admit card of candidates. The name of the test centre mentioned on the UPTET admit card was ‘Nagar Nigam Balika Inter College’ while the actual name of the test centre was ‘Nagar Nigam Balika Vidyalaya’. Due to the incorrect test centre name on the UPTET admit card, many candidates reached at the wrong venue.
Cheating in UPTET 2019 Exam
Many cases of cheating are being reported in various places across Uttar Pradesh such as Johnpur and Ghazipur. UP STF was constantly monitoring the paper. Many people have been arrested in cases of cheating in UPTET 2019 exam.
