Sarkari exams were delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic in India. Now, with the unlock activities going on everywhere, various Sarkari exams are being conducted in September. The Sarkari exam applications, postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, are now released by the concerning authorities.
Sarkari exams are the most sought after exams because the government jobs are the most attractive profession across the nation. India is a country of villages and towns. The two-third of the country lives in the rural and semi-rural areas and the common thinking is that clearing the Sarkari Exam will pave the way for success and growth.
Sarkari exams is a very broad term and it includes the UPSC Exams, SSC Exams, SBI Exams, IBPS exams, Railways Exams and other state-level exams. Most of the exams are conducted at the national level across the nation, but some of them are conducted at the state level only.
Sarkari exams will now be conducted through the National Recruitment Agency (NRA). NRA will be a central recruitment agency to conduct the recruitment work for all the positions for Group B non-gazetted and Group C positions. Majority of the candidates apply every year for these non-gazetted posts and appear in multiple exams every year to get the government job.
Currently, the government exams are conducted by the various exam conducting bodies across the nation. Across the year, one exam or other is being conducted across the nation. Even after the NRA, phase II of the exam will be conducted by the agencies specialised in the recruitment for the positions.
It implies that NRA will conduct prelims exams only and the mains exam will be conducted by the specialised agencies such as SSC, RRBs and IBPS. UPSC will be the least affected exam body after the establishment of NRA because UPSC is mandated to conduct the recruitment for All-India Services, Group A Civil Services and Group B Civil Services (Gazetted) posts.

Sarkari Exams 2020 Eligibility
The most common eligibility criteria for the majority of the government exams is a graduate degree from a recognised university. The Bachelor’s degree from any recognised university can make a candidate eligible to apply for the majority of Sarkari exams in India. One of the important point to underline here is that most of the government exams accept the Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with any percentage of marks.
Some Sarkari Exams put a percentage bar in the eligibility criteria and hence they are not open to all such as SBI PO exam. Some organisation demands a graduate degree in a particular subject because of the specialised nature of the posts.
Sarkari Exam Notification & Application
