Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF Assistant Commandant) 2019 Result for the written exam conducted on August 18, 2019. A total of 2215 candidates qualified in the CAPF written result 2019 for the Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standards Tests (MST). The dates and schedule for the CAPF PST/PET will be announced in due course of time by UPSC. The qualified candidates need to register and submit their Detailed Application Form (DAF) online along with the scanned copies their educational documents and relevant certificates. They also have to submit the category certificate in the prescribed format with the CAPF 2019 DAF to claim the benefits of reservation. The DAF will be available on the official website of UPSC from October 30 to November 13, 2019.

The PST/PET/MST will be conducted by Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) and the schedule for the same will be intimated to the candidates very shortly.

UPSC conducts the CAPF exam to recruit the Assistant Commandant (Group A) in Central Armed Police Forces viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo?Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).The CAPF 2019 exam notification was released on April 24, 2019 for a total of 323 vacancies across various Central Security Agencies. The Application started from April 24 and ended on May 20, 2019. The CAPF exam is a three-stage exam. The three stages are as follows:

  1. Written Exam – 450 Marks
  2. Physical Standard/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standard Test – qualifying only
  3. Interview/Personality Test – 150 marks

The final merit list is prepared by UPSC based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and Interview/Personality Test.
It is also worth mentioning that the number of vacancies given in the official UPSC CAPF notification are not final and can be changed during or after the CAPF exam. In CAPF exam 2018, against the notified 398 vacancies, 416 candidates were finally selected.

The candidates who are selected for the Assistant Commandant position in any of the forces which are participating in the CAPF Exam 2019 are not eligible to appear in the CAPF exam 2019.
