The G.B Pant University has scrapped the entrance exam for UG courses and admission will be done on the basis of merit. Check details here.
The Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar has cancelled the Pantnagar Entrance Exam for Undergraduate (UG) courses and has decided to offer students admission on the basis of their merit in the intermediate or equivalent examination. Due to the prevailing situation of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the country, the varsity officials have made the decision to offer students admission on the basis of merit and will be judged on the subject marks secured according to the course applied for.
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks secured in the following subjects:

Students have an option of withdrawing their application form by logging in with their user ID and passwords from August 1, 2020, to August 15, 2020. The application fee will be refunded after the credentials have been verified. After August 15, 2020, no candidate will be allowed to withdraw their candidature.
The varsity has also decided to open the application window for students who have not applied online and the window will be open from August 1, 2020, to August 15, 2020. Students who have applied online, are required to upload the Class 12 marks on the portal which will also be available from August 1, 2020, onwards. The merit list will be prepared after August 15, 2020. Students will be notified on the official website of G.B. Pant University.

For Postgraduate courses, the varsity has stated that very few applications have been received for admission to their postgraduate courses and for students who have applied, will have to give an online entrance exam from home for admission to MCA/Master’s/PhD programmes. The online entrance exam will be held in the month of September, 2020. Here is the statement released by the University.
