The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) has announced that the institute will conduct the Graduate School Admissions (GS) to its programmes and courses in the month of March, 2021. The TIFR GS is generally conducted in the month of November, however, due to the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the institute has decided to postpone the national-level entrance exam to March, 2021. The official dates for TIFR GS 2021 will be announced in the month of January, 2021. However, application forms for the new academic year is expected to be released in the month of November, 2020.

Students who are interested in applying for admission to the PhD courses or Integrated PhD courses offered, candidates are required to first check the eligibility criteria before applying online for admission.

For admission to the programme, aspirants will have to first fill and submit the application form on time. Once the applicant has successfully applied online, they will receive their admit cards and will have to appear for the TIFR GS 2021. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks secured in the written test, interview round, letters of recommendation and scientific write-up.

Candidates can go through the following steps on how to apply online for TIFR GS 2021.

Step 1: The candidate will first have to visit the official website of TIFR GS 2021.

Step 2: Click on GS 2021. From there, click on ‘Apply Online’.

Step 3: Proceed to enter your personal and academic details.

Step 4: Upload the required documents according to the size and dimensions mentioned on the application form.

Step 5: Once the information has been entered and the documents have been uploaded, the candidate will have to pay the application fee online.

Step 6: The candidate has to pay the application fee online via net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI.

Step 7: Once the payment is done, the candidate has successfully applied for TIFR GS 2021.
