29 new PG courses at Manipal University

Manipal University has enhanced its bandwidth with the launch of 29 new post graduate programmes for the academic year 2012-13. Some of the new courses offered across diverse disciplines are mentioned below:

1. Fellowship in Diabetes
2. MTech in Industrial Pollution and Control
3. MSc in Regenerative Medicine
4. PG Diploma in Cellular and Molecular diagnostics
5. PG Diploma in photonics
6. MSc Tech (Business Management Systems)
7. Wine Fundamental Certificate Course (Level 1)
8. M.A in English
9. MPharm Regulatory Affairs
10.  MSc in Pharmaceutical Medicine
11. Postgraduate Diploma in Jewellery sales and retail operations
12. Dual Degree Master's Program in Film Art and Masters of Fine Arts in Film Making
13. Masters in Public Health- Environment and Occupational Health
14.  Masters of Library and Information Science
15. Certificate course in Library and Information Science

The university is home to about 25,000 students and with this latest offering, it is looking to attract more students. For instance, the Post Graduate Diploma in Jewellery Sales and Operations to be offered by Manipal Institute of Jewellery Management has received a positive response from students from different parts of the country.

Different programs will be offered by different departments or centers, such as, WGSHA (Welcome Group Graduate School of Hotel Administration) will take care of hospitality related courses, humanities related courses would be offered by Manipal Centre for Philosophy and Humanities (MCPH), pharma courses by Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), jewellery related courses by Manipal Institute of Jewellery Management (MIJM). Dual degree programmes in film and arts will be offered by Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), which will focus on various aspects of film-making such as screenwriting, editing, cinematography and so on.
