50, 000 to take Teachers Aptitude Test today
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), Gandhinagar is set to conduct the Teachers' Aptitude Test (TAT) scheduled to be held today, May 7, 2012. It is expected that 50, 000 aspirants will appear for the exam. This second TAT exam is being conducted to recruit teachers for classes IX and X in government and grant-in-aid schools.
The exam center will be the main center of each district so that more and more teachers from rural areas can appear for the test. TAT is divided into two parts:
- Paper 1: General Knowledge
- Paper 2: Subject based
Timing of Paper 1 will be from 11 am to 1.30 pm, whereas Paper 2 will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm. Blind teachers will be allowed extra time of 20 minutes (Paper 1) and 15 minutes (Paper 2) to finish both the papers and they will be provided with writers to write their exam. (Read full story)
The first TAT exam held In December 2011, saw about 95, 000 aspirants who appeared for the exam in the hope to become eligible for the position of secondary teachers for classes VIII, IX and X in government and grant-in-aid schools. (Read more)
