With Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) results out, the board has come up with its post-result counseling services. These services were planned to reach out to students, as India is a diverse population. The services will take place through a variety of modes from Monday till June 6. These modes will include telephonic counselling, interactive voice response system (IVRS) and the CBSE website.

This is the 14th year in a row that, the CBSE will be providing counseling services to students. The CBSE tele-counselling facility will be provided by qualified counsellors and Principals from CBSE-affiliated schools located in India and overseas. It is a voluntary, free of cost service offered by the participants. Apart from India, the services will also be available in Doha, Dubai, Qatar and Kuwait.

This year, CBSE Post-Result Counseling Services will be offered by 36 Principals, counsellors from CBSE-affiliated government and private schools, and psychologists through telephone. All students need to do is to dial the toll-free number 1800-11-7002 from any part of the country for centralized access to the CBSE helpline. General queries will be answered by the operators. In case of exam stress, students will be connected to the principals or counselors. Also, CBSE is arranging, for the third year, counselling for differently-abled children.

For tele-counselling, available through the IVRS mode for the sixth year, BSNL users can dial 1250102, while Reliance users can dial 55500102. Various techniques to come up with result-related anxiety can be accessed on the CBSE website by clicking on the ‘Helpline' icon.
