GSEB 2011 Results will be declared today on 12th May 2011 from 9 am onwards. GSEB or Gujarat Secondary Education Board performs two examinations - The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam for class 10 and the Higher Secondary (School) Certificate (HSC) exam for class 12 students in Gujarat.

Every year the board conducts both Main and Supplementary public examinations in the month of March and October, for SSC (Standard 10) and HSC (Standard 12). This time the SSC examination was conducted across 335 centres, where nearly 7 lakh students appeared.

In the examination, 101 subjects were covered, and question papers were set in languages - Gujarati, Hindi, English, Marathi, Sindhi & Tamil. The HSC examination is conducted in 158 centres, for more than 2 lakh students. SSC or class 10th examination was conducted in 335 centres, and 7 lakh students appeared in the examination. 168 subjects are covered, and question papers are set in three languages - Gujarati, Hindi & English.

A government education system of Gujarat, GSEB thoroughly prepares syllabus for Secondary Schools. Apart from this, the board of Gujarat is also responsible for identifying new schools.
