IGNOU admissions open for online courses
Admission is open for six online programmes offered by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The last date to apply for these programmes is September 25, 2012.
The six online programmes offered by IGNOU’s Chair for Sustainable Development (CSD) are:
- Appreciation Programme on Sustainability Science (APSS)
- Leadership Programme on Nutrition Security and Sustainable Development (LPNSSD)
- Appreciation Programme on Sustainable Management of Wetlands (APSMW)
- Appreciation Programme on Sustainable Management of Ganga - A Scientific Approach (APSMG)
- Leadership Programme on Himalayan Ecosystems (LPHECO)
- Appreciation Programme on Sustainable Management of Biodiversity (APSMBIO)

The entire gamut of these online programmes,from registration to certification, would be offered throughan integrated Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The programmes facilitate personalized learning through features such as Integrated multimedia courseware, Online counselling and mentoring (web conferencing, text based chatting), 24x7 learner support, Assignment Management System, E-tutor based practical for selected programmes, Group based online seminar, Online Project platform and Online Term End Examination (proctored) for selected programmes.
Students have the convenience to access the study material across the globe and benefit from online counseling sessions conducted for better understanding of the course. Term End Examination is to be taken online by the students from any of the regional centres. Read more
