IGNOU OPENMAT XXX 2011: A Gateway to Management Programmes

IGNOU OPENMAT XXX 2011 is an entrance exam which is a gateway to admission to management programmes at the University. It is scheduled for 21st August, 2011 and held twice a year. The duration of the entrance exam is 3 hours i.e. 10.00-1.00 a.m.

This entrance exam giver entry to courses like:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA), or
• Diploma in Management (DIM), or
• Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM), or
• Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM),
• Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM), or
• Post-Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM), or
• Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM)

Eligibility criteria required to appear for this exam:

1. Should have completed graduation in any discipline with 50% marks for general Category and 45% for Reserved Category.
                                                                 OR

Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience.
                                                               

                                                                 OR

Professional Degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine/Architecture/Law/Pharmacy

                                                                  OR

Professional Qualifications in Accountancy/Cost and Works Accountancy/Company Secretaryship etc
                                                                  OR

A Master's Degree in any subject

2. Clearance of OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU.
                                                                  OR

Candidates who have successfully cleared the Entrance Test for admission into Management Programme conducted by the Institutions like CAT, MAT and State Level Tests need not appear in OPENMAT. The cut-off percentage for admission of these candidates will be decided by the university.

Later on, a result card will be sent to all the aspirants who have appeared for the exam which will indicate whether he/she has qualified the exam or not and has secured the cutoff percentage which has been decided by the university for admissions.

Validity of OPENMAT Score:

Aspirants who have qualified for admission on the basis of score obtained in the OPENMAT will be eligible to take admission into Management Programme in any of the following two semesters. Like if you are appearing for the 21st August, 2011 exam, you can take admission in any semester i.e. either in January 2012 or July 2012 semester.
