IGNOU to conduct entrance tests on 21st August 2011
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is conducting the entrance tests for management programmes (Openmat-XXX), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post Basic) for the sessions starting from January 2012 on Sunday, 21st August 2011. It will also be conducting Tier-1 test of UNESCO Science Olympiad on the same date.
The Openmat-XXX and the Science Olympiad test will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., B.Ed. entrance from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and B.Sc. Nursing (PB) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. These entrance exams are being organized in 311 examination centers accommodating 1,74,987 candidates (Openmat: 26,563; B.Ed.: 1,41,118; B.Sc. Nursing (PB): 4,262 and UNESCO Science Olympiad: 4,903).
The hall tickets have already been dispatched to the candidates by the university. The particulars of the hall tickets are also available on the IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in . In case of non-receipt of hall ticket by any candidate, the hall ticket can be downloaded from the university website by entering name and date of birth of the candidate and report to the examination center.
In case the candidates are unable to download the hall ticket, they can contact the regional center and obtain information of examination center allocated and report to the examination center with a proof of submission of entrance test application form along with recent passport size photograph. In such case they have to submit an undertaking at the examination center stating that if in the event of information furnished by them is found to be incorrect, their candidature shall be cancelled. Candidates must report at the examination center 45 minutes before the commencement of the entrance test.
The university has deputed central observers in all the 311 examination centers to ensure smooth conduct of the entrance test.
