JMI BEd Course Eligibility Criteria - Important Points
The eligibility criteria is a Bachelor's degree in any school teaching subject with not less than 50% marks OR a Bachelor's degree in any school teaching subject with not less than 45% marks and a minimum 50% marks in Master's Degree examination in the same school teaching subject in which the candidate has applied.
The main school teaching the subject in which they are applying must have studied in two years/four semesters before graduation. Those who have done Honours in any school subject at Bachelor should apply for that subject only. B.Com (Honours) alone is not eligible and M.Comm is eligible for optional for commerce as the main teaching subject. JMI prepares teachers in 17 school teaching subjects.
JMI BEd Program Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
To apply for the JMI BEd course candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate marks are required in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates with a Master's degree with at least 55% aggregate marks can also apply for the same. Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and PWD are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks.

3. Subject Requirements
Applicants must have studied at least two teaching subjects relevant to the BEd program during their graduation. These teaching subjects will form the basis of the curriculum during the BEd course. These subjects are either:
- Social Sciences (History, Geography, Political Science, etc.)
- Languages (Hindi, English, Urdu, etc.)
- Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics)
