MEDIA RELEASE - IGNOU To Organize Conference On Psychological Measurement
The Indira Gandhi National Open University's (IGNOUs) School of Social Science (SOSS) will be organizing a National Conference on "Psychological Measurement: Strategies for the New Millennium" on 4th and 5th March, 2011 at the Convention Centre, IGNOU, New Delhi.
The conference will be inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai who will preside as the chief guest. Souvenir of Abstracts will also be released on the occasion. The inaugural programme is scheduled on 4th March, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by key note address by distinguished speakers such as Prof. A.K. Sen, Professor (Retd.), Dept. of Psychology, Delhi University, Delhi; Prof. Ajit Mohanty, Professor, Zakir Hussain Centre for Educational Studies, JNU, New Delhi; Prof. Amulya Khurana, Professor of Psychology, Dept. of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT, New Delhi and Prof. Vaishna Narang, Professor, Centre for Linguistics, School of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies, JNU, New Delhi.
The conference will address varied topics like current trends and future prospects in psychological measurement, application of foreign tests in Indian context, application of psychological tests in organizational setup and ethical issues in psychological measurement. Various empirical and theoretical papers will also be presented by the participants from all over India.
