Mystory@Abhimanyu: How I selected my course and made my career

Choosing a suitable stream in Class 12 was the most difficult task for me. I took help from my teachers. My English teachers, Meenakshi Sharma and Ravneet Kaur have influenced me a lot. Since I was inclined towards Teaching profession it became my career goal. I was deeply interested in IT, too. Therefore I chose a blend of both language and Computer Science. My college life went well. I was happy with my decision and I didn't face any obstacle during college time as I had already opted what I wished for. During college life, I started polishing my other skills- Communications, Acting, Singing and Public Speaking.

If I get a chance to go back to that phase of my life, I would not like to alter anything. The sole reason behind this is that I don't have any regret. I am extremely satisfied with my performance at different levels of my life. I have been certified by Microsoft as an "Innovative Teacher". And I believe learning is a life-long process.

Since my childhood, I wanted to become a Teacher rather a passionate teacher. So, I started working on my dream. But my parents wanted me to become a Software Engineer. So, I decide to fuse both, mine and my parents’ dream. All through my journey of becoming a good teacher, I was quite patient and my parents supported me a lot. I have learnt so many things from my parents and I consider them an institution in their own right.

I personally reckon that one must have a clear vision while choosing one's stream. Here, stream can be replaced with any other important decision that one takes in life! So, be cautious and moreover listen yourself because you can’t make yourself happy, then you can't make others happy.
