After a horrendous year of high cutoffs, Delhi University officials have announced that this year there will be no 100% cutoffs. The much awaited first cutoff list of the Delhi University is finally out for admissions to various undergraduate courses. Unlike last year, the cutoff percentages will remain less than 100 per cent this year, though the required percentages remain higher.

The cutoff rate for science stream is as high as 99.25 per cent whereas for commerce, the cutoffs are kept at 97 per cent. The actual increase in cutoffs is by 0.5 per cent to two per cent in different streams. Hindu College put a ceiling of 99.25 to its cut-off range.

Last year, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) made headlines keeping 100 per cent cutoffs for its B.Com (Honours). But this year, the college authorities have decided to fix the cutoffs at 96.5 per cent for Commerce and 98.5 per cent for Science courses. But the college has only 252 seats to offer where it would be difficult for SRCC to declare the second cutoff list.
