Rajiv Gandhi Education City to have an IIT-D campus!

To be set up by the Government of Haryana, Sonepat's Rajiv Gandhi Education City – a hub of institutes of higher education and research – will now have an Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) campus too. The IIT-D campus will be an addition to other extended campuses of institutes of higher education across various fields like management, architecture, engineering, law, telecom, medical, insurance and biotechnology. The institutes to be set up at the city will include the following:

• National Law University
• Bharti Vidyapeeth University
• FORE School of Management
• Manav Rachna International University
• Asian Education Society
• Skyline Business School
• Ashoka University
• NC College of Engineering and Research
• Hindu School of Architecture
• RIMT Technical Campus
• Balwant Rai Institute of Technology and Research
• SRM University

Besides an extended campus, IIT-D has plans to set up a science and technology park, a faculty development centre and high performance computing centre at the city.

Subsequently, the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) has already been set up in the neighbouring Kundli village while the nearby Murthal village is home to the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology.
