Rani Chennamma University - RCU - Belgaum in Karnataka Declares Results

The Rani Chennamma University (RCU) at Belgaum in Karnataka has announced its results for the Jan 2011 exams. The results for the following programs have been announced:

• Bachelor of Arts
• Bachelor of Business Administration
• Bachelor of Commerce
• Bachelor of Science
• BPED, BSCCS and BSW

RCU does not have an official website where they have posted the results, but keeping with the students desire to have online results, they have released the results to some websites.

About Rani Chennamma University

After about 3 decades of running post graduate programs, the centres of Karnataka University at Bhutramatti, Belgaum, Bijapur and Bagalkot were rolled up to become Rani Chennamma University. Close to 300 colleges, consisting of 50000 odd students, were moved from Karnataka University to Rani Chennamma University. Professor B. R. Ananthan was named the first vice-chancellor.

As is often the case, the new university has been cash-strapped especially as the student fees have been collected by Karnataka University, but not yet transferred to RCU. But with World Bank assistance coming in, things should improve.
