SCTEVT 5th Semester Results Declared
The Orissa State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTEVT) has declared the results for 5th Semester Winter Results. Students can view their results online at the official website of SCTEVT at http://www.sctevtorissa.in/
To view the results you will have to input your registration number in the results page and click on search. The web pages are loading slowly since many students are trying to access the page simultaneously. So if your results are not loading, contact the SCTEVT directly or your college for more information about your results. Students who are not happy with their marks can apply for recounting at their college or write to SCTEVT.
SCTEVT has also published the timetable for the 6th semester and 4th semester exams in Summer. The practical exams will begin from April 4th 2011 to April 7th 2011. The theory exams begin from April 8, 2011 and will continue till April 30, 2011. Students can download the timetable from their official website.
The State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTEVT) is a State Government initiative that manages the Diplomas and ITI Colleges in Orissa. The SCTEVT holds the responsibility of registering students, conducting examinations, evaluations and publish results. The main aim of SCTEVT is to impart quality technical education to the students in Orissa and to create a qualified workforce so as to increase the employment statistics of the state.
About 90 Diploma Institutes and colleges in the state of Orissa are affiliated to SCTEVT today. Courses that are offered SCTEVT include Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, IT Engineering, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, Textile Technology and Drilling Engineering.
Apart from Diploma Institutes, over 450 ITI institutes and colleges are affiliated to State Council for Technical Education and Vocation Training in Orissa. The courses in these colleges are offered under three schemes AITT -- Apprentices, AITT-BBBT and AITT-Craftsman. These courses are designed to give valuable vocational training to students to launch them in their chosen careers and also to help them set their own business as entrepreneurs. Students who are interested in Bakery & confectionary, Bleaching, dyeing & Calico printing, Carpentry, D.T.P work, Cutting & Sewing, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Dress Making, Electrical, Electronic Mechanic, Hair & Skin care, Horticulture, Insurance, Laboratory work, TV & Radio Repair work, Mechanic Auto Electrician & Electronics, Computer Hardware Repair, Painting (General), Pattern Maker, Photography, Plumbing and AC Repair work can apply for these courses. They also provide training for Secretarial work, Surveying, DTP operating, Tailoring, and Welding.
Skilled workmen are much in demand within India and also abroad and these vocational courses have helped many students to obtain lucrative skilled jobs.
