The results for Symbiosis entrance test (SET) 2011, which is going to be held on May 7, 2011, shall be declared on May 20, 2011. SET being a common entrance test for various courses at undergraduate level, is amongst those few most eagerly anticipated yearly exams. Students interested in law, design, IT, management, health science, economics, media and technology sit for this exam.
Symbiosis Institute of Technology provides candidates with a convenient opportunity of accessing their SET test scores by simply entering their roll numbers at the institute's website. Candidates even have an option of downloading their test scores via SET website.
Post declaration of results, the preferred institutes shall conduct further section process and short list suitable candidates for admissions.

SET 2011 cutoffs
The expected cutoffs for SET 2010 were as follows:
SCMS: 102-105
SICR: 92-94
SIMC: 80-82
SSE: 75+

How to Apply
Students can apply to any institute of the university dealing with undergraduate programs, online. There are 2 ways to apply:
- Via SET Website- at the time of paying the SET fees, a student can even pay the application fee of Rs1000/- for the course he/she desires to gain admission into. Otherwise he/she can even apply for the same via website once the SET payment is closed.
- Via Institute Website- there also an option for candidates to separately apply for SET and an institute of their choice. Though, one should keep in mind that both registration and appearing for SET test is mandatory for every candidate. A candidate should also ensure that he/she appears for the correct SET paper so that he/she can get enrolled in the course of his/her choice. If a candidate has taken a SET exam for General category only then he/she cannot apply to courses such as SLS. In the same way, if a candidate appears for a law exam then he/she cannot apply to SICSR or SCMG and SSE.
If a candidate wants to apply in multiple courses then he/she needs to take exam for each of those categories i.e. if one wants to apply for both law and design then he/she needs to appear for both law and design SET test.
