Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2011 exam to be held on 7th May 2011!
Students willing to enroll themselves for various undergraduate programs like Design, Law, Management, Engineering, Computer Studies, Media, Medical Technology, Economics, Nursing at Symbiosis International University, Pune, take the SET exam. Symbiosis Entrance Test 2011 will be conducted on May 7, 2011.
SET or Symbiosis Entrance Examination is one of the few very reputed written examinations held at undergraduate level. Being a mandatory common test, the SET exam is taken by numerous students across India.
Exam Format for Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2011
Symbiosis Entrance Exam 2011 is of 150 minutes duration and is divided into 2 sessions for 5 question papers. There isn't any negative marking system. The SET structure for different courses is as follows:
Engineering- is divided into 3 sections namely:
- Physics (25 questions)
- Chemistry (25 questions)
- Mathematics (25 questions)
All of the above sections carry a total weightage of 200 marks.
Law-is divided into 5 parts:
- Logical Reasoning (30 questions)
- Legal Reasoning (30 questions)
- Analytical Reasoning (30 questions)
- Reading Comprehension (30 questions)
- General Knowledge (30 questions)
All of the above sections carry a total weightage of 150 marks.
Health Science- is divided into 3 sections:
- Biology (50 questions)
- Chemistry (25 questions)
- Physics( 25 questions)
All of the above sections carry a total weightage of 200 marks.
Design- is divided into 2 segments namely:
- English(30 questions)
- Design Aptitude(70 questions)
Both of the above sections carry a total weightage of 100 marks.
General- is split into 4 parts. They are:
- General English (40 questions)
- Quantitative (40 questions)
- General Awareness (40 questions)
- Analytical & Logical reasoning (40 questions)
All of the above sections carry a total weightage of 150 marks.

Examination Schedule of SET 2011
On Saturday, May 7, 2011, SET will be conducted according to the following schedule:
- 9:30am to 12pm - Law / Engineering / Health Science
- 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm - General / Design
Test Cities:
SET test covers 18 cities across India. A student can simply choose any of the below cities for appearing in SET 2011 exam.

Did You Know?
Symbiosis does NOT entertain queries for rechecking or reevaluation.
Once the results are out, candidates will be able to access their test score at the SET website up to a period of 30 days i.e. 1 month.
Things to Remember:
Students appearing for SET 2011 need to bring along their photo identity proof. They even need to carry their own stationary material i.e. blue/black ballpoint pen at the test centre.
Any kind of electronic device such as calculators, cell phones, watch calculators etc will NOT be permitted within the examination hall.
It is MANDATORY for all candidates to bring their Admit Cards. In case, any student fails to produce the same, he/she will not be allowed to take the exam.
