  1. Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Schools

The Kendriya Vidyalayas schools are a notch above regular CBSE-affiliated private schools. KVs are government-run schools that fall under the Ministry of Education. They primarily serve the children of government employees who are frequently transferred across India, for example, the students belonging to the Indian Army fraternity.

Their job roles are similar to those of the CBSE-affiliated private school teachers as they have to adhere to the norms set by the board and teach students the subjects allotted to them, complete the curriculum on time, and conduct regular tests.

Apart from the regular Teaching positions, there are also additional posts of Vice Principal/Principal and Librarian that candidates need to tackle.

The recruitment process of Teachers in KVS is based on national-level recruitment exams as well as PRT Requirements D.El.Ed. or B.Ed. and CTET qualification. Bottomline

As we now have the basic idea of the job roles of a teacher in either of these schools, it is to be noted that be it teaching in CBSE, KV, or NV, the core job of a teacher is to nurture the citizens of tomorrow by ensuring that they receive the best education. On one hand, where CBSE private schools offer more flexibility, KVs, and NVs provide the stability of a government job. It also offers additional benefits to teachers while Navodaya Vidyalayas which are residential schools, require additional involvement by teachers in their student life, making it a unique challenge for teachers. At last, it boils down to the choice of the person looking for a teacher job between these teaching roles depending on their individual career goals, preferred work environments, and lifestyle considerations.
