Anirudhh, A student of class 12 is under a lot of pressure. His cousin scored 91 per cent marks last year and he is expected to perform even better. He's not the only one facing a similar dilemma! There are several other students in India who face high expectations from their parents, peers and teachers to do equally well like certain examples in the family or the friend circle.

With just a few more days left for the board exams to commence, students are going through a lot of stress, anxiety, along with sky high expectations to perform well from the parents. It is not easy for a student to deal with all this stress.

As a result, at times, they go for memory pills, ample amount of coffee, and when they are unable to cope up with the pressure, they sometimes take up the extreme step of committing suicide.

So, here are some techniques to follow that can help minimise the stress. Firstly, make a timetable and stick to it. Take short brakes after each hour. Go for a brisk walk in the morning and evening and relax yourself.

Diet plays a very important role during these times, stick on to healthy food. Take in food that is rich in proteins and vitamins. Eat a healthy diet and do not skip meals.

Sleeping is something that we all love. So, it is mandatory for all aspiring board exam students to have a regular sleeping pattern. Minimum of seven hours of sleep is a must for them.

No distractions should occupy a student's mind at this time. Board examinations should be the top priority. Stay away from negative environment and negative thoughts. Think positive. Spend time with people who have a positive outlook.

And, above all, pray everyday and have faith in God. Wish all the students who would be appearing for the boards best of luck. Do your best and God will do the rest.
