Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test on Feb 23 & 24, 2014

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh government will be held on February 22 and 23, 2014. The exam is mandatory for any individual aiming to become a teacher in any Uttar Pradesh government run school or in privately managed and privately operated schools in the state.

Conducted annually, the exam is for both the levels - primary and upper primary level. The last date for the online applications is January 6, while the next day on January 7 aspirants will get a chance to edit their applications in case of an error.

UPTET is a 150-marks exam spread over the following sections (Junior and senior schools):

• Child nutrition : 30 questions of one mark each
• Comprehensions : 30 questions of one mark each
• Hindi grammar : 30 questions of one mark each
• Language [removed] replaced by essay this year) : 60 questions of one mark each

The UP government hasn’t yet released the complete notification but is expected to do so shortly.
