VBRET Entrance Exam

Visva-Bharati Research Eligibility Test (VBRET) is an entrance exam conducted by Vinaya-Bhavana (Institute of Education) for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in various disciplines of Education and Physical Education offered by the institute. VBRET 2013 is scheduled to be conducted on Thursday, September 12, 2013.

Eligibility:

• 55% marks or equivalent grade for General/OBC candidates and 50% marks or equivalent grade for the SC/ST candidates in concerned master’s degree (Education, or Physical Education) of two years duration.
• In case of M.Ed degree holders, the candidates should have passed masters degree in any other disciplines of two years duration with 55% marks each for those belonging to general/OBC category and 50% marks each for those belonging to SC/ST

Syllabus: The syllabus for the exam will be the same as that of M.Sc. syllabus of Visva-Bharati for the concerned subject.

Paper pattern:

This 100 mark paper will comprise three question papers:

• General Research Eligibility (GRE) is 25 marks
• Discipline Research Eligibility (DRE) is divided into 2 papers:

1. DRE Paper I - 25 marks
2. DRE Paper II - 50 marks
