The Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (UPTET) is the state-held exam for those aspiring to become a teacher at government schools of Uttar Pradesh. This competitive exam is considered te be a gateway to becoming a primary school teacher and obtain a government job in the state.
However, the first step towards ensuring that you are on the right path is to fill your application form correctly. It has been observed that there is a constant error in the UPTET photo size dimension format when filling the application form. Understanding that this is an important step towards ensuring that you have correctly filled up the form. Before filling up the @online form, a candidate must scan their photo and signature and ensure that all of these documents must be uploaded during the submission of the application form. The photo size details are as follows:

  • Get a passport -size photo clicked professionally in a studio with a light coloured background. A white background would be most preferred.
  • The face of the applicant should be straight looking towards the camera and should have zero expression.
  • If the picture is taken using a flash make sure that there's no "red-eye".
  • Spectacles are allowed, but make sure that there are no reflections and the eyes can be seen clearly.
  • Place your recent passport-size photo on a piece of white paper only and put your signature just below the photo.

The photo should be taken without any kind of props such as sunglasses, hats, caps bandana, muffler, etc. Only religious headgear like that of turban is allowed but it should not cover your face.

Specification for UPTET signature

The candidates are also advised to attach scanned images of their signature along with the scanned photograph. Some of the regulations for the uploading of signature are given below:

  • The signature has to be uploaded with the photograph and not separately.
  • The signature has to be uploaded with the photograph by placing the photo just above the signature on a white paper and then scanned together.
  • One has to be careful while scanning so that the picture doesn’t overlap the signature.
  • The signature should be limited only within the white paper and should not come over the photograph by any chance.
  • The signature should have a width which is equal to or less than the photograph, but never more.
  • The signature has to be done in black ink only. 
  • The white paper should be spotless without any other marks on it.
  • The signature has to be your usual signature which has to be used in other documents too in future. So remember your signature well. As mismatch of signature in later stages of UPTET can cause problems.

Dos and Don’ts of UPTET photo size dimension format and signature

Some of the basic things which have to be followed while uploading UPTET photo size dimension format and signature are given below:

Dos

  • The candidates should upload their latest photo which is not more than a month old.
  • The candidates have to take a professional passport photo while looking at the camera, an angled photo might be rejected.
  •  All features of the face of the candidate should be visible clearly like that of eyes, ears, nose, and lips.
  • The shoulders of the candidates should be visible in photos.
  • The scanner should be set at a minimum of 200 dpi or more for more clarity in scanned pictures.

Don'ts

  • Photos should be clicked from a professional camera.
  • The photos should be in formal attire and not casual attire like jeans and top.
  • Blurred images with low resolution will be rejected outright, so only clear pictures should be uploaded.
  • Only students who have powered spectacles should take a photo with glasses on.
  • Polaroid photos will be rejected.
  • The background should be clear of any other objects other than the candidate.
  • The use of shadows or artificial lighting in photos will be rejected outright.
  • The signature if done in capital letters will be rejected, it should be in running hand.

Steps to upload photo and signature online

The following steps can be used to upload the UPTET photo size dimension format and signature in the UPBEB website for applying to UPTET 2019:

  • Visit the official website of UPBEB (upbasiceduboard.gov.in)
  • Go to the ‘UPTET Application Form’ link on the page and click on it
  • Enter all the academic and personal details required
  • Click on the button which says to Save the above details and proceed to upload a photo
  • Choose the file you have scanned and created
  • Upload the file and proceed to payment
