Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech programs at BBAU Lucknow?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Programs at BBAU Lucknow

The placement cell at BBAU Lucknow seems to be ineffective in providing suitable placement opportunities for its B.E./B.Tech students. Here are some key points:

    * Limited Placements: According to student reviews, few companies like Wipro, TCS, and Amazon visit the campus for placements, and the placement cell has struggled to secure internships or job offers for most students.
    * No Permanent Faculty: The university lacks permanent faculty members, leading to a lack of guidance and mentorship for students.
    * Inactive Placement Cell: Many students reported that the placement cell is rarely active, and even when it is, students are left unaware of the members' roles or responsibilities.
    * Lack of Internship Opportunities: There are no internship opportunities provided by the college, making it challenging for students to gain practical experience.
    * Placement Drive Issues: One student mentioned that the placement drive process is flawed, with the placement cell acting more like "campus ambassadors" instead of actively working towards securing jobs for students.

Overall, the placement cell appears to be struggling to meet the needs of its students, leaving them without adequate support or opportunities for career advancement.

Disappointed because of faculty and peer pressure of exams but satisfied with infrastructure 2025.
Placements: About 56% students got on-campus placement in various companies like TCS that visit and provide job opportunities in BBAU. There are several internships introduced by the faculty, but generally, most of the time students have to try off-campus internships to improve their CV.
Infrastructure: There is no such place which can be described as a lab. There is a dummy lab which contains a few computer systems, mainly used by professors, and most of them are faculty, so can't be used. The processors of computer systems can be compared with turtles. Hostels are fine enough to stay with the best facilities like geysers, water coolers, etc.
Faculty: There are many qualified teachers present as faculty members, but they are not willing to teach as they aren’t interested. They teach and give only theoretical knowledge, most of the time they aren’t doing that. There is no such kind of practical things to make a student ready for industry work. The semester exam papers are beyond the syllabus they teach, passing marks are about 28 out of 70.
Other: As we know, there are good career opportunities in computer engineering as there are much better placements present in the engineering field. As the growing world is full of technological advancements, the opportunities in jobs have increased.

Infrastructure is the best and large, lush green campus.
Placements: If you are thinking to pursue B.Tech from here, don't expect any kind of placements. The highest package was 6 Lacs and the lowest you can't even think of. They write your name on the banner if you crack any government exam. The placement from the ECE branch was in SBI Bank as they have written. But the college is reputed; if you are applying for off-campus, you will definitely get a placement. You have to self-apply for any internship because the college is not going to help you.
Infrastructure: They don't have proper labs; in fact, they don't have extra classrooms for examinations. The department is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The library is the best library among central universities. They have limited hostels; most students are living in PG outside the campus. The mess food is not good. Medical facilities are good. Sports are also good but not up to the mark.
Faculty: Some faculty are great, but some are worse than school teachers. Most teachers are Ph.D. qualified. The course and curriculum are very old. Semester exams are hard to pass; the questions are at a difficult level. If you are coming here for the preparation of any government exam, then it is good because you get enough time.
Other: I chose this course because of preparation for GATE, and this is a central university. The best thing is you get enough time for your extracurricular activities. Labs need to be improved. Only Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated in the college; don't expect any kind of fest. The campus crowd is good because of the large number of courses. Connectivity is also good; you can get a bus and auto everywhere at a genuine price. Only GATE No. 1 is good for food stalls and markets. At GATE No. 2 and 3, there are fewer food stalls. If you are SC/ST from UP state and have an income less than ₹250,000 annually, you can get zero-fee admission. After that, you have to fill out the scholarship form for the UP scholarship.

    Everything about BBAU, Lucknow .
Placements: In electrical engineering, placement is not that good compared with other branches like computer engineering, electronics and communication engineering, but you can get a decent placement if you develop your skills. You can even get a 10 LPA package, but the average is 4 to 5 LPA. And almost 30% of students get placed only or sit in the placements.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good and very cheap compared to other universities and the mess is decent—not that bad; you'll get average food there. Yes, the whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. So yes, you get internet and course-related books and items you can get in the library.
Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful; they'll help you with everything related to your course and direct you to how to get a placement but there's a shortage of teachers, which isn't a good thing. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant to industry standards and the teachers tell you what's important and what's just there for the syllabus. And semester exams are moderate; 80 to 85% is the passing percentage.
Other: There are many sports and cultural events that are always happening. If you want to join, then you can apply for the role that you want to. The university campus is very lush and green and it is also not that noisy.

The infrastructure and faculty members of all other branches are good.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed in campus placement is very low. The average student will not get placement here. Placements are mainly off campus. Small private companies usually visit the college to hire from other departments. The highest salary package offered was 17 LPA in 2023. A lot of small private companies come here for an internship, and everyone is eligible for it. Most of the students come here for civil services preparation.
Infrastructure: UIET lab has 70% damaged equipment. There is only one smart class only in the first year. The library has an electronic issuing system, which is the best thing here. Every hostel has a personal gym and a separate college gym. Hostel living conditions are good. The mess food is average. The college has its own health center. Sports ground is large and the college has both outdoor and indoor equipment. Different competition also happens like football, cricket, kabaddi, and kho-kho.
Faculty: There is a mix of permanent and temporary faculty members. All permanent faculty members are excellent. All faculty members know how to teach. You will get a lot of assignments. Civil and ECE faculty members are best here. CS faculty are not so good. Two mid-semester exams of 30 marks each are taken before the semester examination of 70 marks. All students can pass sincerely except maths which does not have good faculty members.
Other: I chose this college because it is a central university and most of the faculty members of the civil department are permanent. The study is also better than other departments.

Decision of joy along with study.
Placements: The placement of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar College is quite good compared with the other colleges. The average placement package at this college is like 5 LPA. As getting a 5 LPA is good, you get a scholarship up to 50% of the feels for the open category.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, as colleges get budgets every year for improving infrastructure. Wi-Fi with a limit of 5 GB per day is provided to every student for study purposes. AC facilities are provided in the library, and every book for each course is available in the library.
Faculty: All the faculty have qualified for their Ph.D. degree from reputed universities. And their teaching style is also different. If a student has done his or her study properly or attended the class regularly, then it would not be very difficult to pass the semester exam.

The truth is here! The honest review for the university.
Placements: Only a few companies came on past years and just took a handful of students. Remaining companies recruiter the students from different departments. On an average I think the placement offers a package of 3-5 LPA. The recruiters are TCS, Adani Airport, Indian Railways, Infosys etc. It also depends on what skills you have if you don't have the skills the companies are looking for then that candidate is simply not of any use to the recruiter.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available and has good speed. Labs are not so well maintained. Classrooms need to be increased. Library is quite big but seating is a problem as there are many students. The hostels are fine. The food provided in the mess is average I'll say. There is a health center in the university which has great doctors. There is a sports ground, a indoor games hall and a gym.
Faculty: Teachers are nice all of them are educated and well mannered and the teaching quality is also great. The new students who will get admission will learn a updated syllabus which makes them industry ready. The semester exams are quite nice that is if you study well.

    Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at BBAU Lucknow a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at BBAU Lucknow a good choice?

From the reviews and feedback collected, here's what stands out:

    * Placement Record: While some branches have struggled with placements, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) seems to have a relatively better record, with 65% of students getting placed and the highest package being around 6 LPA.
    * Teaching Quality: Many students praised the teaching quality, saying that the faculty members are knowledgeable, helpful, and enthusiastic about their subjects.
    * Infrastructure: Although some faculty members reported issues with outdated equipment and poor maintenance, the overall infrastructure seems decent, with good classrooms, labs, and library facilities.
    * Scholarship Opportunities: The university offers scholarships to meritorious students, which is a significant advantage.
    * Campus Life: Students mentioned that the campus is peaceful, with plenty of green spaces and recreational areas.
    * Career Prospects: Despite some concerns about placements, many students believed that the course prepares them well for a career in their chosen field.

However, there are some drawbacks to consider:

    * Limited Industry Exposure: Several students felt that the course lacked practical exposure and hands-on learning experiences.
    * Outdated Curriculum: Some reviewers suggested that the curriculum needs updating to prepare students for the current industry demands.
    * Placement Cell: Unfortunately, several students reported that the placement cell was ineffective, with companies not visiting the campus frequently.

Overall, considering both the positive and negative points, whether or not B.E./B.Tech at BBAU Lucknow is a "good" choice ultimately depends on individual goals and expectations. Students who prioritize academic rigor, decent infrastructure, and potential career prospects might find this university suitable. However, those seeking more extensive industry exposure and cutting-edge curriculum might need to explore alternative options.
