Their success story highlights how CU’s holistic approach to student development helps athletes refine their skills and prepare for the competitive world of professional sports.

Raj Angad Bawa: From CU to Mumbai Indians

Raj Angad Bawa, a promising young cricketer, has been bought by the Mumbai Indians for a base price of ?30 lakh in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. Raj Angad Bawa, a product of Chandigarh University's comprehensive sports training program, has impressed everyone with his all-round abilities on the cricket field. Whether it’s with the bat, ball, or in the field, Bawa has always showcased a level of maturity beyond his years, a quality that caught the attention of IPL scouts.

At Chandigarh University, Bawa honed his skills under the guidance of expert coaches and took part in numerous cricket tournaments, which gave him the competitive edge he needed. His rise to fame is a result of his hard work, perseverance, and the immense support system at CU that fosters the growth of future sporting stars.

Vaibhav Arora: A Kolkata Knight Riders’ Star

Vaibhav Arora, who was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for ?1.8 Crore, is another shining example of how Chandigarh University’s sports infrastructure prepares its students for the highest levels of competition.
