Review of Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus, Jalandhar.

Placements: Our university is good if you compare the study pattern with other universities. However, when companies arrive for placements, most of the students opt to go to the main campus rather than regional campus. Placements are good, though. Students don't need to worry about it. Most of the placements are provided on this campus.

Good placements with overall healthy and sound infrastructure.

Placements: Being a part of the regional campus, the whole placement procedure is associated with the main campus at Amritsar. The placement cell is quite active and helpful in providing good opportunities to students and bringing the best companies during the recruitment drives. There are many companies that offer internships with PPO (pre-placement offers). Around 80-90% of students get placed in the drives and rest usually go for higher studies. The lowest CTC varies from 2.50-2.75 lacs per annum, while ...

Satisfied with my campus after a Degree course.

Placements: Placements are held at the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, I. e the main campus wherein all the students of the campus as well as other four regional campus participate for campus placements. Companies like Nagarro, TCS, Capgemini, KPMG, Software AG, XenonStack, Paxcom, Amdocs, HDFC BANK have conducted their drives till date. Placement follows with a precise and stable manner in order to regulate a firm and healthy environment for company officials as well as for the students. This universi...

The college has good infrastructure with all facilities. The placements are average.

Placements: The placements for the students of electronics and communication are good but not great. The package offered is around Rs. 3.5-4.2 LPA approximately. The students should have the CGPA of at least 6.0 to apply for placements. Many companies visit our college for placements.

I'm absolutely satisfied because of good placements, good facilities and the good library.

Placements: 70 per cent of the students of our senior batch got placed. Tata Consultant Service visited the campus. The highest package offered is approximately 4 LPA and the average package offered is 3 LPA. Tata Consultant Service company visit the college and hire many students every year, and they offer a very good package. Only a few students of ECE branch are hired by core companies when compared with TCS.

A good college but can be better.

Placements: Placements of ECE is good but not so awesome. As a ECE engineer you have to learn extra skills to get placed in company like you have to learn programming language like c, c+, Java etc. Rest as in main you should learn Matlab, Arduino etc. Rest everything is above average.

It is a good college under government.

Placements: The placements in our college are very good. Here, different companies come to recruit the students. You should have relevant skills to get placed, as it is quite difficult if you are not skilled. The average package offered was 3-4 lacs per annum. CSE students have more advantages than ECE engineering students and rest all other branches' placements are good.

G. N. D. U is a good choice from my side, As it has good faculty and placements are appreciable.

Placements: According to seniors placements from last two years, the average package is 3.4 Lacs per annum, and the highest package was 5 Lacs per annum. This year two new companies Adobe and tech mahindra were introduced for placements for the very first time, but only one student was selected for Adobe, and rest were recruited in TCS, INFOSYS. Near about 75% of our seniors were placed, and rest are continuing their furthure studies. Therefore overall placement is good in G. N. D. U, and is expected to be ...

Satisfied because of good faculty, course and less crowd.

Placements: Our department is the best in placement sector. The college gat an award for this characteristic feature of high placement rate. Students directly got the job during their academics as reporters, RJ, as an anchor etc. There is a good approach to the media houses too.

Review is as simple as possible. Scoring 8/10, it is an excellent campus under GNDU.

Placements: The placements here is good especially for the computer science engineering students with an average package of above Rs. 3.5 lakhs per annum. Here, ECE also has a good package, but the student here must acquire some programming skills to compete in the placements with CSE student. On the scale of 10, I will give it 7.

No practical knowledge is provided to the students.

Placements: Only engineering department got decent placements. Law students don't get any placements. The maximum package is about 4 to 6 LPA in rare cases. Most of the students prefer off-campus placements and internships. For law students, the only option is to either have a law background or go for PCS.

Supportive teachers and faculty are short of funds for the fests.

Placements: The environment is quiet favourable. Teachers in the college are well qualified and helpful. The faculty also had a scale to teach students and develop their managerial skills. There is lack of sports activity in the college which helps to develop a overall personality.

I am satisfied with the placements and faculty members, but it lacks advanced labs for ECE.

Placements: Approximately 30%-40% of the students from our batch got placed with the average salary package of 3.5 LPA. The highest salary package was offered by Jaro Education, and it was 12 LPA. Some companies from Amritsar offered the lowest salary package of 2.5 LPA. Most of the students are doing a training programme at IIT Roorkee and other institutions.

I am happy that I studied at that college which is good in every aspect.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at the college is quite appropriate and favorable for students as the campus is neat and clean. It has all the facilities which should be there in a well-known institute. The institute has a great reputation in the education system and is one of the best colleges in the region.

A good choice and could be the turning point for your future.

Placements: The main placement drives occur in the Amritsar and you do get information about the drives before hand. If you are interested then you can be present at Amritsar campus on provided dates. I am also not very sure as I have recently joined here. The above details very actually given to me by my teachers.
