An experience of studying at IGNTU, Amarkantak.

Placements: The placement at Manipur University is average. Not every department provides placement. Pharmacy, agriculture, and business administration provide placements, but only in some generic companies. The salary is not that big. However, since it is a central university in an undeveloped area, we should not expect more from it.

Only environment related course is good.

Placements: Around 10-20% students were placed in my course. The highest package offered was INR 45000 and the lowest was INR 15000. Students are hired as guest lecturer and not in companies. Only 2% of students got internship. By clearing UGC NET or GATE SET one can pursue Ph.D.

Learning and future looks good.

Placements: Roles like pharmacists and a few drug inspector roles are offered. Generally, it is in companies like hospital, pharmacies, etc. The top recruiters are Sun Pharma and nearby hospitals. Around 30% of the students can get placements and for internships generally, they try on their own.

I don’t recommend admission here—no placements and poor infrastructure.

Placements: No one is getting any placement in my course, and there is no package offered. No companies participate in recruitment. Yet, 1-5% of students manage to get internships. My course offers opportunities like NET LS or pursuing a PhD and JRF if you clear the NET exam. After cracking NET or GATE, there is hope for a good career.

IGNTU is a heaven for low-income students.

Placements: Only 30% of students were placed in my course last year. In MA Economics, placements are very limited. The only option after this course is to pursue NET and work as an assistant professor. Other job opportunities are scarce. We must complete BEd or NET for placements.

Review of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University.

Placements: There are not many campus placement opportunities, but the recruitment that occurs is generally in roles like drug discovery, formulation development, and quality control, along with a few positions in private and public colleges for teaching roles. The package generally ranges between 1 LPA and 1.5 LPA.
