Integrated B.Sc. M.Sc. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2027
5
5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Absolutely satisfied with all the facilities and infrastructure .
Placements: Our college, Kumaun University Nainital, accepts those students who have a percentage above 70 percent. Different percentages are required in different courses. Our department of biotechnology offers courses like integrated B.Sc., M.Sc. in biotechnology, M.Sc. in microbiology, and Ph.D. programs. It is a government college, and it provides placement according to our abilities. Mostly we have to apply for jobs and search for our jobs on our own, but the faculty and department help a lot. Our department provides good internships. After completing the course, a person can make his or her career in different fields, as they can become a biotechnologist, microbiologist, researcher, and many more.
Infrastructure: Our college has a very good environment as it is well-furnished and properly maintained; it is always in a clean and hygienic condition. It has a big and very beautiful library with a good seating area. Our college has a very good facility of Wi-Fi, good classrooms, and labs. Our labs have proper equipment and chemicals and all the facilities that a person needs during its experiments. It has a good hostel facility as it is attached to the department. It has proper maintenance and good quality food, and the hygiene is maintained everywhere. We have objects for playing in the evening, like badminton, cricket sets, football, volleyball, etc.
Faculty: The teachers of every department are the gift for the students, as they are highly qualified professionals and knowledgeable. They all are so responsible and attention-gaining as they teach from the depth of their heart. Their support and blessings make the career of every student bright. The faculty is very responsible and attentive, so there is no problem in the semester examination; all things run very smoothly.
Other: Our course is very interesting and educational. Students enjoy their college time a lot as there is a great vibe in the area. The practical time is very interesting; it makes students know something interesting and makes them attentive in learning new things.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2027

A good option for those who have cleared their NEET exam & are searching for a good medical college.
Placements: There is no placement provided by the college after the bond system has been removed from this college. 4 years of study and 1 year of internship are provided by the college, after which students have to apply for jobs or can set up their own clinics.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available are ample in amount. No Wi-Fi is provided to the students, but some classrooms have air conditioners equipped in them. The library is fully occupied by books from different authors. Classrooms have big projects. Also, labs are sufficiently equipped with essential apparatus. Hostel facilities are also good. The hostels are clean and peaceful, located away from the main college building, which makes it a peaceful area to live and study. The food provided in the mess is good enough compared to other colleges in the state. Also, the canteen system is within the campus, which remains open until 9:00 p.m. The rates of food in the canteen are okay. Coming to sports and games facilities in the college, the college needs to draw attention to sports and games for the students. Also, they should emphasize more on extracurricular activities for their students.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and cooperative with the students. Students feel very comfortable contacting the teachers, and the faculty members are well-qualified, very knowledgeable, and have great years of experience. Their teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is very relevant for the students. The course is taught in a very practical and easy manner. It makes students ready for hospital and private clinic setups. There are basically four types of exams in a year, which include two terminal exams, one pre-prof exam, and one proof exam. Coming to the difficulty level of the exams, the exams are quite difficult to pass, and about 2 to 3% of students fail in exams every year.
Other: I chose this course to serve the community and also because it was the best possible option for me after passing 12th class from the Biology section. This course can be improved by emphasizing more on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge. Also, as MBBS is a very hectic course, the college should include more events, fests, etc., for the recreation of the students as well as the faculty. There are certain scholarship programs for students of the reservation category, and the scholarship amount differs for students of different reservation categories. The college should focus more on extracurricular activities.

Soban Singh Jeena: Worth It or Not?
Placements: The eligibility criteria for placement require good grades each semester. No recruiters visited when I studied over the last three years. The highest and average package, as per the companies and profiles offered, is none. No companies visit the campus. If your plan after getting the degree is to find a placement, do not come here. There is no internship or placement plan on campus, so if you are looking for placements or internships, do not take admission at this college. If you only want a degree at a low cost, then you can consider admission.
Infrastructure: The lab is good, but there is no Wi-Fi here. The library has books, but you need to pay a 1000 INR security deposit. Amenities in classrooms are decent but average; there are no fans, no AC, and no projectors. Food quality in town is good; pahadi food is top class, but I don't know about the hostel food system or quality. For local accommodation, there are one or two PG options for girls and one hostel by the campus. Local rented options are also good, with a 2-3k INR range for a decent 1 BHK room.
Faculty: The teachers are not very good; they do not take regular classes, and the teaching quality is average. They focus only on theoretical aspects. There are two exams a year, and the difficulty level is not too high. If you solve and practice the last 3-4 years' previous question papers, you can easily get good marks.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted an undergraduate degree for my upcoming future exams. The course is good, and you learn various things. However, the infrastructure, placement, internship system, and teaching methods need improvement. There are no fests on campus, only a fresher's party after a month when the new batch arrives and a senior's farewell ceremony. Scholarships are also provided by the government.

My college life has been my best life.
Placements: Forty percent of students were placed in my course. The highest package was 55 thousand, and the lowest was 25 thousand. Bajaj Motors and Tata were among the top recruiters. Thirty percent of students got placed in my batch, and the company name is Bajaj. Currently, I am a manager at the Bajaj company.
Infrastructure: There are so many facilities I got in my college. The Wi-Fi connection quality was very good, the library system was also good, and we got very clean classrooms. We got food from our canteen, and the food quality was excellent. Our college provides medical facilities also.
Faculty: Our teachers were very helpful; when we faced any type of problem, they were always with us and taught us very well. Our course was very relevant. Exam difficulty depends on students; if they prepare very well, no paper is hard for them.

DSB campus Nainital review by cdt minakshi .
Placements: Most colleges don't provide placement. Placement is not even provided to professional course students like BBA, LL.B., and others. From this year we started teaching courses, so maybe they get some placement. And otherwise good if you want to do a master's and go for higher education .
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available in the college. We have projectors, computers and internet connections. Books are also provided in library and lecture rooms are very spacious and well lit. Halls are very big. And weather is also best for study and focus.
Faculty: Exams are done in regular periods, but the semester starts very late so students often do not get enough time to complete the syllabus. Some of the faculty members are too good. Classes are very regular and faculty members take classes on a regular basis. Sometimes Ph.D. students take classes.
Other: According to the fee the campus is value for money. It is very beautiful and so many activities are organized in college.

If you want to explore your college life and also be serious about your career.
Placements: 80% of students were placed in my course; basically, I do a master's degree after my graduation, and most of the students did the same. Very few of them get placement after the course, and the average package may be around 1 lakh. I don't have any idea about the recruiting companies. About 30% of students did their internships in college, and most of them teach in schools.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are very supportive and guide us toward Ph.D. for sure. Wi-Fi is available in both the college and hostel. There is a library and reading room in the college, and there is a fully Wi-Fi reading room available in the hostel too. Hostel food is very budget-friendly, and there is a separate medical room in the hostel. Also, game events are organized by hostelers every two months.
Faculty: Teachers and professors are very supportive and helpful. They will teach you to deal with exam pressure, and the exams are not that tough; you only need 33% to pass. Self-study is a must to score well in the university exams. If you are taking admission in this course, make sure to prepare notes and solve previous year's question papers before the exam.
Other: I chose this course because I want to do a Ph.D. after my graduation. I think the college library should be modified and should provide a new collection. The college fest invites only celebrities; they should also invite past students who are doing great in their careers for motivation.
