Maharaja Chhatarsal Bundelkhand University (MCBU) is the largest state university in Madhya Pradesh, India, in terms of both student enrollment and land area. The University was established on July 9, 2014, by an Act passed by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature. Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundela founded the town and the land, and the university bears his name. The university's motto is "Savidhyayavimuktaye, " which means "knowledge liberates." Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University's average placement is for students enrolled in management courses. The total fee for BBA programme is below INR 10000 to provide quality education. College also provide scholarship to the students belonging to SC/ST /OBC category. The fees can be paid in installment throughout the academic year.

Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University (MCBU) was established in 2015 by the Madhya Pradesh government. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), and it has accreditation from AICTE, AIU, AISHE, and MPCST. Approximately 149 colleges are affiliated with MCBU in six districts and also in Niwari, Damoh, Sagar, Panna, and Tikamgarh districts. Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University offers more than 100 courses under undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in science, art, and commerce. Along with these disciplines, it also offers courses in disciplines like engineering, education, life sciences, medicine, arts and languages, social science, law, mathematics, commerce, management, and home science. On 40 acres, it has well-furnished classes and labs, which are less equipped with modern facilities and equipment to provide quality education. It also has laboratories, a playground, an auditorium, and a cafeteria. MCBU also provides hostel facilities for the students. It has separate hostels for boys and girls. On top of that, MCBU offers students the option of hostels as places to stay. There are separate hostels for girls and boys there as well.

The eligibility criteria for admission in an undergraduate course is 50% marks (46% marks for reserved categories) in 12th grade. If you have more than 70% marks in 12th grade, then you don't need to appear in the university entrance exam. Application forms are out in the month of March every year, and they are available in online mode.
