Review of Institute of Biosciences and Technology, MGM University.
Placements: In the 2020 batch, there were no placements to speak of. Two companies based in Chikalthana MIDC, Greatagro and NE Chemical, hired 4 students at a package of 2 LPA. A 2 LPA package for master's students is very low. Most students prepare for government jobs and off-campus opportunities. Many students secure government apprentice positions.
Infrastructure: Our university campus is very large, with many places for studying. During exams, it feels fresh and refreshing. In our batch, we have 62 students, and Wi-Fi is available on campus. Our library is very spacious. I didn't prefer staying in the hostel; I lived in a PG near the college, where the meals were awesome and provided enough quantity of food for one person.
Faculty: The faculty members of our department are very active; we have 13 faculty members. Teachers mostly focus on practicals, which are the most important part of the curriculum. We have a three-hour schedule for practicals every day. The course curriculum is affiliated with BAMU University. Now, I've heard that the college has its own university, which is good. In our time, BAMU was considered a backward university. Exams are very challenging, with a passing criteria of 35%.

Review of MGM institute of biosciences & Technology.
Placements: Few students are able to get jobs. Few organizations like Fassi, Plays, Balaji, Suhana, etc., are hiring companies. They offer a salary range from 20,000 to 40,000 per month based on the interview. Internships are provided to all in Aurangabad-based food companies as research and food technicians. They also provide some stipend and full-time job offers.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the best in the region, with a big campus and sports grounds including a cricket ground, basketball court, and kabaddi stand. There is also an indoor sports club. Wi-Fi is not present till now. The college is far from the main railway station. Hostels are available for both male and female students, equipped with fans and washing machines. The mess has separate meals; their food is okay but not the best.
Faculty: In our FT department, there are 14 faculty members, few of whom are ICT Masters graduates in food technology. Our HOD is a very humble person who helps us in every documentation process. Food technology is a demanding course in both the government and private sectors, definitely making us industry-ready.
Other: The best thing is that it opens up many career doors after my Masters in both government and private sectors.

Masters of biotechnology.
Placements: In the 2019 batch, we did not have any placements. I recall two students receiving internships and then full-time jobs at Lupin with salaries of 25,000 rupees. I want to prepare for government jobs, so I will not participate in campus drives. Most students start their businesses or are placed in off-campus jobs.
Infrastructure: The college is very outside of the city; it is the best college for biotechnology. I don't know now, but in our batch, Wi-Fi is not available, and in the library we used to study, they have limited books. Hostels, PGs, and flats are available; teachers know some brokers if you want rooms. For sports, we have a separate department with all sports equipment available there.
Faculty: We have very few faculty members; nine members teach us six subjects. They are professionals, and some teachers are business-minded; they teach us how to build businesses. Now, our college comes under MGM, but in our time, it came under BAMU University. Those time exams are very tough, and 50% of the students are all cleared.
Other: Annual festivals are celebrated in college, but trip charges are collected from students.

Gain lot of knowledge and memories.
Placements: More than placement, we are focused on practical. If we are good at practicality, we will definitely get a job at Reddy, Bharat Biotech, etc. companies. The roles offered are lab in charge and microbiologist. We must have done internships; the college provides paid internships to all. After completing a degree, we can expect to start with a package of around 5 LPAs.
Infrastructure: College is located in a non-polluted area, and many extracurricular events, such as teacher days, cultural festivals, and NS camps, are organized. Wi-Fi is not available but we have unlimited internet on the computer lab PC. Hostel food is healthy but rooms are small; 4 students shared a room. Canteen facilities are good; they also provide mess service but only during the day.
Faculty: Faculty members are Ph.D.-qualified teachers who are very good at practical; they do not train us; they teach us. That is the main reason I chose this college. The course is very demanding in industries; it is the future of biology. College prepares us for competitive exams. Apart from the curriculum, the semester exam is difficult; 40% is the minimum requirement for passing.
Other: The thing they wish to change in college is that they should accept state government scholarships.

College placements are not satisfactory.
Placements: In our senior batch, 70 to 80% of students were placed. The highest package was 12 LPA, and the average package was 6 LPA. More than 20 companies participated in the hiring process, with HCL, Tech Mahindra, Eaton, and Birlasoft among the top companies. Internships are given, but they are project task-based unpaid internships from Oasis Infobyte. Roles we got after the course are Data Analyst and Data Scientist.
Infrastructure: College campus is big, different colleges in one campus. Our college building was recently built, with Wi-Fi available in the library and hostel. Classrooms are big, and they have projectors. Hostel facilities are good, but it feels more, mess food is good, but I suggest the canteen's food is better. We have a big sports ground in which different sections for cricket, football, basketball are provided separately.
Faculty: Faculty members are always ready to help us. Apart from studies, they organize many visits and events. Recently, we had a visit to ISRO, which was a great experience. MGM university rules are applied to us; they conduct exams and provide the curriculum. Data Science is an emerging technology; it definitely makes us industry-ready. The semester duration is 4 months, and exams start in the 5th month.
Other: College is near to my locality, so I chose it. Mess food quality definitely needs improvement.

Best faculty & practical's got conducted regularly.
Placements: Before placement, we have to do an internship, and the college provides internships to all of us. Mostly, in our class, we get internships at Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital. 7 students in class got the job of lab technician in a private hospital. After completing the internship, we can get an average salary of 50,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Our college is a hospital itself, located in a very quiet place. Our lab testing machinery and kits are all in good condition; there is regular maintenance done. No Wi-Fi is available on our campus. We have hostel and private rooms available outside the campus. Dozens of food court stalls are available; we have no need to worry about food quality.
Faculty: Faculty members teach practical more than theory; mostly, teachers explain concepts to us using projectors and animated videos. The course improves our laboratory skills, testing, and makes us good laboratory technicians. We do not get any scholarship from DBT; we have to pay all fees. Exams are conducted twice a year.
Other: I previously completed B.Sc. in Biotechnology and specifically Shiksha helped me find the best suitable college in my budget and location.
