B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2027
Offered by Institute of Technology, Nirma University

Only professionalism even in college life.
Placements: Over 80% of students are placed in Electrical Engineering. The average package is 6-7 LPA, and the maximum is 12-13 LPA. Roles include maintenance of electrical appliances used in industries, designing for companies like lift manufacturing companies, TCS, etc. In short, there is no issue with placement, just need to maintain CGPA throughout the degree.
Infrastructure: High-speed Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. Canteen food is clean, healthy, and tastes so good (3 canteens are available on the campus offering a variety of cuisines and flexible times for students. Even vending machines are available at different places for snacks). Classrooms are spacious and very well-ventilated, with both traditional chalkboards and projectors, which are beneficial for students. Labs are equipped with all necessary equipment. Nirma also motivates sports and health by conducting a 3-credit course (YOGA).
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and skilled in terms of teaching. Despite professors being very strict, they are very helpful in nature, and the student-to-teacher ratio is great. Basically, you just need to maintain discipline. Yes, the course curriculum is perfectly set for the basic knowledge of the industry.
Other: There are fewer cultural events for engineering students, whereas there are a lot of cultural events for management students.

Nirma University is good and it has A+ grade also.
Placements: There are almost 75 students in one division. There are two divisions for civil department. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Almost 70% of students get placements. Companies come in 3rd or 4th year to select students. Nirma has high-level companies.
Infrastructure: There is a big campus for Nirma University and hostel too. There are multiple blocks on campus and every block has a different department. As we know, there is an auditorium also in different blocks and hostels also have all facilities and mess too.
Faculty: Teachers are very cooperative and most of them are graduates from IIT. Everyone has great experience and knowledge. The whole curriculum is given in mail at start of the year. There are three exams in one semester and it is not too difficult if we study daily.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2026
Offered by Institute of Technology, Nirma University

Review of mechanical engineering at Nirma University.
Placements: In mechanical engineering last year, 110 students applied for placement, in which there was 92% placement ratio. The average salary offered was 7.5 LPA and the highest package offered in mechanical was 14 LPA. The lowest package offered was 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for mechanical are: Bosch, Tata Motors, Adani, Reliance, Torrent, Power, Tata Power, Mahindra, Amazon, Google, TCS, etc. The roles offered in our college are in IT companies; mostly the roles are managerial roles to lead the team. In power sector and energy sector, mainly the roles of engineer is to design and improve the performance and efficiency of machines. In the manufacturing industry, it is to see and lead the workers and to apply cost-cutting operations. The internships are offered after 6 semesters at the college. Currently, I am studying in the 5th semester, so I have not much idea about it. But companies like ISRO, Adani, BIS, etc. give the projects and internship very much to NIRMA UNIVERSITY. Currently I am also working on project funded by BIS (bureau of Indian standards) in which I have to analyze the design and strength of materials used in transmission lies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Nirma: sports ground (badminton, cricket, table tennis, volleyball, racing track, tennis), 4 hostels (h1, h2, h3, h4), auditoriums, 3 canteens, medical block, bus facility, computer labs, sitting areas, vending machines, etc. For my department: Wi-Fi, Cad software labs, CAM machines like CNC and VMC, vmc conventional machines in workshop, all core thermodynamics subjects labs, auditorium, non-AC classrooms, mechanical library, centre for robotics lab. In the hostel, the basic facilities were given, like bed, AC, tables and washrooms, induction, fridge, etc. The quality of food in mess and canteen is average only. Once my friend got food poisoning also eating food of mess, so hygiene wise it is poor.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are not at all friendly and they also do not have much knowledge, They only know how to shoot and sell at the students and not know how to teach the subject. Also, the head and teachers will not understand the problems of the students and the new rules made in college are always in the benefit of faculty only. The course curriculum is relevant as we are learning all the core subjects of mechanical. Also, there is a facility to opt for minors, so you can also learn CS law and management subjects even if you are doing mechanical. Yes, there is always a barrier between theoretical engineering and practical engineering, but it is reduced somehow by students of GTU colleges. The end-of-semester exams are moderate, out of which 70% paper is always easy and rest 30% is always difficult, thus you can easily score at least 50-60 marks and get passed. The pass ratio is 85%, so 10–15 students fail the end-of-semester exams and have to give a supplementary exam.
Other: The best things about mechanical is that it is easy and once you know the concepts, you can clear it. Also, manufacturing is more practical and needed in every sector. The main thing all engineers love of mechanical is designing the component and Thermodynamics. Now a days you can analyse where your component will be failing and the critical points using FEA and computational fluid dynamics. Things I wish to get improved are that instead of learning all department subjects in the first year, rather software like SolidWorks, CATIA, and Ansys should be taught in the first year more deeply. Events in Nirma are held most from Jan to April. Main events are vaudeville, ashwamedha, praveg, Kalp, etc. Campus is big and lush green campus. The public coming to Nirma is decent and coming from well-settled families. There are two main scholarships, MYSY and NIRMA SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME; more details you will get on website about it.

Strong Placement, Excellent Infrastructure, and Vibrant Campus Life at Nirma University.
Placements: Nirma University has strong placements. Around 85-90% of students are placed. The average package is 8-10 LPA. The lowest package is around 4-5 LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, TCS, Microsoft, Wipro. Many students secure their internship in leading companies.
Infrastructure: The university provides excellent infrastructure, including modern classrooms, labs, and large libraries. Hostel offers both AC and non-AC rooms with necessary amenities. Food quality in the mess is decent. Sports facilities are good. Overall, it's a well-maintained campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified, with many professors holding advanced degrees and industry experience. The curriculum is well designed and industry-oriented. Semester exams are tough, with high pass percentage. Regular assessments help in reinforcing concepts throughout the semester.
Other: The fees for the course were around 9.18L for four years, which is on the higher side but justified by the quality of education, infrastructure, and placement opportunities. The campus is vibrant with a diverse student body from across India. Events and sports activities make campus life enjoyable. The peaceful environment for studying and personal growth with easy city connectivity.

Infrastructure and facilities are good, with aesthetic looks.
Placements: Most of the students got placed in my course. The highest salary package was around 16 LPA, and the average salary package was approximately 9 LPA. Apart from that, top companies also come here for recruitment, such as Aditya Birla, Adani Group, Nestlé, and many other companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good here, and facilities are also good. However, there are no air-conditioners in the classrooms for BBA students. Classrooms are good, and library is also well-maintained. Food in mess and canteen is quite good. There are also good facilities for sports and games, especially for outdoor sports.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is above average. Many subjects are not that relevant, but there are also good subjects. Semester exams are of a good level and not that easy. Pass percentage for semester exams is 40%.

Good infrastructure but bad faculties.
Placements: The college provides 100% placement, and the average placement is around 12 LPA. The lowest package is about 7 LPA, and the highest is 70 LPA. The institute, however, does not provide placement for the undergraduate program (BBA). Companies like Morgan Stanley, Searce, JP Morgan, and Axis Bank offer placements.
Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure as a new building has just finished construction. The mess is also very good. The faculties are not that good, and most of them have little knowledge of the subject. There are two sports grounds, one for football and one for cricket. A sports complex is also under construction.
Faculty: The teachers are fine; some are good, while others are not. The curriculum includes internships every year, so a serious student can gain proper industry exposure. However, the courses are very cumbersome and irrelevant at times, and you get very little practical knowledge. The difficulty of the exams is very low.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to do an MBA. This course offers an exit option after three years if you can get into a better college. The only thing I would like to change is the attendance policy of the college. Other than that, it's fine. There are various committees that organize events all year round, so there's no shortage of that.
