PhD Jan 2025 applications are open; the last date is Nov 30, 2024. The Written test and Interview will be held from Dec 1, 2024, onwards. 

Plaksha University PhD Admission 2023: Eligibility, Selection & Fee

Students with the following qualifications are eligible to apply for PhD:

Eligibility:

• Master's degree (MA, MCom, MSc, MTech, MPhil or dual BS+MS degree) or a master's equivalent programme in a related field of study from a recognised university in India or abroad with at least 60% (or equivalent) aggregate in the most recent degree
• BE/ BTech or equivalent degree from a recognised university in India or abroad with a good academic record (CGPA/ CPI score of 7.5 out of 10 or equivalent)
• Preference is given to applicants who have qualified in at least one of the following exams: UGC NET/ GATE/ IIT JAM/ GRE, and/ or have demonstrated research potential through publications in recognized journals.

Final selection: Completed applications (sent by the students) are reviewed by a faculty panel and shortlisted for interviews. Candidates are required to complete a written test as per faculty requirements prior to the interviews. Interviews at Plaksha University are scheduled in the month of March and April. Exact dates are communicated to the shortlisted candidates.

Plaksha University PhD Application Process 2023

Plaksha University application process 2023 is completely online for all its programmes. The step-by-step process of online application is as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Plaksha University (plaksha.edu.in) and click on 'Apply Now'.

Step 2: Candidates need to create login credentials for their account and log in to apply online. 

Step 3: A verification email link will be sent to the official email submitted by the candidates. 

Step 4: After verification, start filling the online application form and upload all the required documents as asked. 

Step 5: Once done, submit the application form. 

Note: No application fee is charged by Plaksha University.

Following documents/ requirements must be submitted with the application form:

• Standardised test scores
• Academic scores of Class 9, Class 10, Class 11 and Class 12 (as applicable)
• Written or video essays
• Documents related to: extracurricular activities, achievements and creative projects, leadership roles

Plaksha University PhD Scholarships 2023

Plaksha University offers liberal scholarships to selected candidates from diverse backgrounds. To ensure that lack of funds is not a hurdle for deserving students, multiple scholarships ranging from 25% to 100% waiver on tuition fee are offered on need-based and some merit-based. These scholarships are awarded to candidates who meet the minimum eligibility and set selection criteria. In addition, the Bharti Foundation has set up the prestigious 'Bharti Scholarship', to fully support 20 Plaksha University undergraduate students.

1. Eligibility: Only those applicants who have been shortlisted for the interview are eligible to apply for financial aid.

2. How are students accessed for need-based scholarships? The financial aid given by Plaksha University is assessed solely based on a student's family financial standing. It is not based on scholastic merit, sports qualifications or any non-financial factors. 

3. Documents required for scholarship assistance:

• Income tax returns of all earning members of the family 
• Bank account statement of all members of the family 
• School fee receipt(s) of applicant of Class XII 
• School fee receipt(s) for the applicant’s sibling 
• Details of financial asset(s) owned by the family 
• Company’s income tax returns and bank statements (in case any earning member of the family owns a Business) 

4. Stipend:

• Students are offered a monthly stipend of INR 60,000 in the first two years and INR 70,000 for the next two years
• A full tuition fee waiver is also offered to PhD students of Plaksha University
