Q:   Is pursuing B.Tech at Uttaranchal University expensive?

    A:

Pursuing a B.Tech degree at Uttaranchal University may be considered moderately priced, While the tuition fees may seem competitive, additional costs such as accommodation, textbooks, and miscellaneous expenses should be factored in. Latency in realizing your college.
Placements: The placement level is very low here. From about 700 super senior students, 7-8 were selected for high and good paying jobs. This year, the highest package was about 15 LPA, and the minimum package was 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, and Volvo. Less than 50 percent got invited for internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities are average, as you get more facilities in about the same fee structure in GEHU. Computer labs are big and spacious. The library also has a wide range and set of books. The food in the mess is average, and sometimes it feels like cost-cutting was done in the food. Very selective sports can be played in the college.
Faculty: The teachers didn’t seem that much qualified compared to my friends who tell me about the teachers from GEHU, and I also feel that there were better teachers in my school than in college. For a few selective teachers, I can agree that they are good, but not for everyone.
Other: I chose this course because some of my cousins, who are in this field of work, encouraged me, and I also had an interest in this field, so I opted for B. Tech. I wish there were trending tech topics that would be taught in our course, as our course is really outdated. There are basic events happening.

Absolutely worth it for the price with serene views, good faculty, and college life.
Placements: As I am a fresher, I don't have much inside information on placements, but as far as I've heard from my seniors and other friends, the placement scene is decent. Recently, our senior has been placed in Google, which is quite amusing, I must say, and the roles are technical-related. Most of the internships are from mass recruiters and start-ups.
Infrastructure: Our college has a central library, separate dedicated labs, and classrooms. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the hostel is pretty decent too. It has all the things you require, like basic water, sanitation, food, and Wi-Fi. The mess food is great too, and our university encourages sports and e-sports.
Faculty: I find the teachers very helpful and supportive, with immense knowledge of the subject. They don't just teach; they also make sure each and every student understands the topic. Regarding the course curriculum, I am not sure right now as I am a fresher. Maybe I'll be able to answer this in the future, but so far, so good. The exams are pretty average, according to me.

All you need to know about Uttarnachal university .
Placements: Ok so here is the catch the 1.7 cr package was the highest but it was off campus if someone wanna consider that , rest highest that was in campus was around 15 -20 lakh . The number of students getting placed is on average basis the same , i would say few get placed into good ones more over its about how well one can get their skills upgraded . In percentage it would be like 50 % getting placed . The perceis low from my perspective because most students get placed in non tech companies , since their role does not seem to match their skills they quit the jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for btech is basic the classrooms have white boards and projectors the labs are equipped with important instruments , but for some labs like and engineering physics we need to go to diffent department building . The overall infrastructure is suitable enough for course. The hostels are good enough , there is lift facility in one hostel out of 4 hostels (for girls) . The cleanliness is good point over here . There is joined mess for girls (single mess) . The food provided is fine. There is a girls court for girls hostel rest there is sports ground in campus and one more ground for basketball and volleyball.
Faculty: The teachers are enthusiastic in teaching ( considering majority teachers ...for minority teachers they are not that good ) .I find the need to add DSA from very beggining rest concepts seems to have been cleared but adding DSA would be more helpful . The semester exams on a difficulty level from 1-5 would say 3 ...they were average ...concept based so it did not bother me much , though many students found exams hard ... I would say it depends more on one's prep.
Other: I choose the course because like coding , and over here I found many people who are already doing the jobs look forward for . My classmates have already started projects even before they entered college and it keeps me motivated to grow . I would say a the campus life is good but as btech students we never got freshers so that was quite frustrating .

Good infrastructure but placement opportunities are not good.
Placements: Placement opportunities at our college are very bad. The university shows it has 100% placements but in reality all 95% students are placed in non-tech companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good, with a large campus and well-maintained facilities. Hostel fees are quite expensive. Mess food is very bad. They serve poor-quality of food 2-3 days a week.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. They don't provide extra knowledge to students as they are more focused on completing syllabus. Course curriculum is not relevant for industry purposes. Exams are not difficult, just doing assignments will help to score good marks.
Other: I believe this course is a good choice for the future. College should give attendance relief and focus on improvingcoding skills of students. Campus organizes events. Campus crowd is good.

Uttranchal Institute of Technology is an average college.
Placements: According to the college, 76% of students were placed, but in actuality, the number of students who got placed is very lesser. Many companies are coming for hiring like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Amazon, etc. The college provides paid internships, which means you have to pay the college to get an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Uttranchal University is very good and decent. You got Wi-Fi in both the library and hostel. The library is well maintained and clean with space. The hostel infrastructure is good and well-maintained; daily cleaners come to clean your room. But in the hostel, there are limitations that you face when you are there. There is only one ground in the college for sports, and you get few opportunities in sports.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are well-qualified and have deep knowledge in their field. But some of them are not good. The curriculum of the college is old. It doesn't make you industry-ready. You have to put more effort to make yourself according to the industry. Exams are not difficult. If you have courage, then you can easily pass.
Other: Some of my friends told me about this course. The best thing about my course is that if you give time, then you will absolutely get a good job. Only a few events are conducted by the college. There is no scholarship for students, but if you are an army awardee, then you get some relaxation in the fee.

If you want to pursue your dream and qualify exams, don’t come to a private institute
Placements: Last to last year, out of 600 students, 116 participated in placements, and approximately 106 got placed. Max package was 16 LPA, with TCS as one of the top recruiting companies. Most students did paid internships, but no students secured internships in good companies, especially in web development.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, though there’s a problem with Wi-Fi as only 1 GB per day is provided. Labs are neither great nor terrible. The library is good, and mess food is okay but costly compared to last year, with increased prices. Sports like table tennis, football, volleyball, and badminton are available. I’m not sure about medical facilities.
Faculty: Some faculties are good, while some aren’t. The curriculum is relevant, but not up to the level to qualify for placements, and students may need to purchase courses from outside institutes to become industry-ready. If you study passionately 2-3 days before exams, you can pass them easily.
Other: To become a software developer, the best thing about the course is the use of computers. Campus culture doesn’t feel like college, and there isn’t much talent around.

Is Uttaranchal University good for BE/BTech?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of Uttaranchal University's strengths and weaknesses:

    Strengths:

    * Good placement record: Around 70-80% of students get placed every year, with the highest package being INR1.18 crore and the lowest being INR3.5 lakh. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte, HCL, and Tech Mahindra.
    * Helpful faculty: Teachers are considered helpful and supportive, willing to assist students outside of class hours.
    * Infrastructure: The campus has modern facilities, including Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, laboratories, and a central library with a wide range of books and resources.
    * Extracurricular activities: Regular events, festivals, and sports competitions are organized, providing students with ample opportunities to engage in co-curricular activities.
    * Internship opportunities: Internships are available, and students are encouraged to participate in these programs to gain hands-on experience.

    Weaknesses:

    * Some teachers' teaching methods: Some students reported that certain professors could be challenging to follow due to varying teaching styles.
    * Limited internship opportunities: While internships are available, some students felt that the options were limited, particularly in certain domains.
    * Mess food: Some students were not satisfied with the quality of food served in the mess.
    * Competition: As with any competitive program, some students found the academic environment demanding, with intense competition for grades and placements.

    Conclusion:

However, students should be prepared for potential challenges, such as varying teaching methods and limited internship opportunities. Overall, the university seems to provide a well-rounded education, helping students develop professionally and personally.
