CA Course Fee Exempted for Students Who Lost Parents to COVID-19

ICAI announces registration fee waiver for ICAI CA course at all levels for students who have lost their any parent during Covid-19 pandemic.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that the registration fee of ICAI CA course at all levels including ICITSS (consisting of Information Technology and Orientation Course) and AICITSS (consisting Advanced Information Technology and Management and Communication Skills Course) would be exempted for students who have lost their any parent during Covid-19 pandemic.

This scheme is applicable for the period April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2023. Such candidates can avail the fee exemption by submission of requisite documents while registering in the CA Course. Candidate can fill the registration form in SSP Portal at www.icai.org of their respective course and upload the following documents:

1. Requisite documents as stated in the prospectus/Registration Form for registering in the particular course.
2. In addition to above, Death Certificate and Identity Proof of Mother/Father, as the case may be, duly attested by any of the following authorized persons:

• • DCOs Heads/Regional Heads/Officer-in-charge of the Branch
  • Principal under whom the student is registered for Articleship
  • Central Council Member/Regional Council Member/Managing Committee Member of the Branch

The candidates will not be required to pay any fees at the time of provisional registration in the ICAI CA course. The admission authority will scrutinize the application form and confirm if the student is eligible for fee exemption.

For availing exemption of the ICITSS and AICITSS fees, candidates have to submit the Death Certificate and Identity Proof of Mother/Father duly attested by any of the following:

• DCOs Heads/Regional Heads/Officer-in-charge of the Branch
• Principal under whom the student is registered for Articleship
• Central Council Member/Regional Council Member/Managing Committee Member of the Branch
