Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone joins PM Modi for a Special Episode on Mental Well-Being for the eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025.
The second episode of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025, airing on February 12, 2025, will feature Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who will engage with students on the crucial topic of mental health and well-being. In a preview shared by the actress, she talks about the importance of mental health, particularly in the context of education, offering students valuable insights on how to manage stress and emotions.
Deepika Padukone’s Advice to Students on Mental Health
In the video, a student asks Deepika Padukone about steps they can take to improve their mental health. The actress’s advice is simple yet powerful: "Always express, never suppress. Be it with anybody," she says, urging students not to bottle up their feelings and to speak openly with family and friends when needed.
Deepika, who has been an outspoken advocate for mental health awareness, will also share her personal experience with depression. She thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for creating a platform where individuals can come forward as "warriors, not worriers," and encouraged students to prioritize their mental well-being.
"I want to thank our Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving us this platform to come out as warriors, not worriers. I want to wish all of you the very best," she added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been a strong supporter of mental health discussions in the education system. In a post on X, he mentioned that this year’s Pariksha Pe Charcha would feature an episode dedicated to mental health and well-being. He emphasized the importance of addressing these issues, particularly as students face the pressures of exams. “Therefore, this year's Pariksha Pe Charcha has an episode specially dedicated to this topic, which will play tomorrow, 12th February. And we have @deepikapadukone, who is very passionate about this subject, talking about it,” PM Modi wrote.
Launch of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' 2025
The eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha was launched earlier this week, with PM Modi engaging in a direct interaction with students at Delhi’s Sunder Nursery. During the event, the Prime Minister shared tips on managing stress during exams, the importance of meditation, and leadership. The initiative, launched in 2018, aims to help students in classes 6 to 12 combat exam stress and anxiety.
In this year’s edition, PM Modi will also discuss mental health with various celebrities and experts. Along with Deepika Padukone, other renowned personalities such as actors Vikrant Massey and Bhumi Pednekar, spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, boxer Mary Kom, athlete Avani Lekhara, nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, and tech expert Gaurav Chaudhary (Technical Guruji) will be featured on the show.
Student Engagement and Special Mentions
In line with its annual tradition, Pariksha Pe Charcha also provides students a chance to ask the Prime Minister questions, addressing topics related to exams, stress, and more. This year, 36 students from each state and union territory have been selected to directly engage with PM Modi during the event. Online registration for the event closed on January 14, 2025.
