ABBS Not Only Provides Top-Notch Education But Also Fosters Personal Growth and Development, saya Ashika
I am an extrovert by nature, hailing from Bangalore. I have a passion for interacting with people and exploring their perspectives. Currently, I am enrolled at Acharya Bangalore B-School (ABBS) pursuing my MBA. In addition to my studies, I have a keen interest in designing clothes, sketching, and reading books. I always seek opportunities to be a part of an enthusiastic environment, as I am an active member of the student counselling committee at ABBS. I strive to utilize my skills and expertise in my own unique way.
Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose an MBA at Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS)?
After completing my 10th board exam, I was not confused about taking science or commerce, as I had always been passionate about commerce. However, my parents had a different dream for me, and they wanted me to pursue science. But, I convinced them and decided to take up B.COM IN FINANCE AND BANKING after my 12th. After completing my B.COM, I was a bit confused about whether to take up MBA OR M.COM. Both courses offered a wide range of career opportunities for my skills, but I ultimately decided to pursue MBA. I considered my personal interests and strengths, and an MBA seemed like the perfect choice for me. It would not only provide me with top-notch education but also set my personal growth and development.
To make a well-informed decision, I consulted an education counselor who helped me evaluate my options. I eventually decided to pursue MBA at ACHARYA BANGALORE B-SCHOOL, one of the top-graded B-schools in Bangalore, known for its excellent quality of education. This decision has helped me build a strong foundation for my future
Q2. How did you crack admission in Acharya Bangalore Business School? What all entrance test(s) did you give? Any coaching classes that you took for preparation? Any other colleges that you were trying out for? What challenges did you face while opting for ABBS?
My brother informed me about the Post Graduation Common Entrance Test (PGCET) and I decided to apply. However, due to a lack of coaching, I received a low score, which left me feeling hopeless. My loved ones, however, were always there to support me and provide encouragement. My brother and I researched several websites, but I was not satisfied with the colleges we found. The location and quality of education were not up to my standards, and as a girl child, I was not comfortable with the hostel or PG options. One of my cousins is pursuing an MBA at Acharya Bangalore B-School, and my brother and I decided to visit the campus. I was impressed by the reasons to consider ACHARYA BANGALORE B-SCHOOL for my next phase of life. With constant support from my brother, I successfully secured admission at ABBS
Q3. How do you spend your time at college? Which classes do you like to attend? Which extra-curricular activities are you a part of in college? If given a chance, what else would you want to do? How has your college experience changed you as a person? What opportunities do you see in the future?
Acharaya Bangalore B-School (ABBS) not only provides top-notch education but also helps build better individuals for the industry. Every day, we learn new things and explore new opportunities. As a student counseling committee member at ABBS, I have actively participated in many events hosted by the college.
ABBS has various clubs such as the finance club, marketing club, HR club, and EDC club, where we can learn new things in an enthusiastic environment. Beyond the classroom, I have participated in the EDC club and taken on responsibilities that allowed me to organize and help with various activities, including writing for the club's monthly newsletter. These experiences have taught me the importance of knowing about society and startups.
At ABBS, we celebrate friendship day every day, as we meet students from different states and cultures. This exposure helps us learn about various cultures, traditions, and languages. The college also provides a daily newspaper to enhance our knowledge of current market trends and prepare us for the industry level. Additionally, the college supports and encourages students to participate in business fests and cultural fests, providing us with a well-rounded education and opportunities for personal growth. In conclusion, ABBS offers a comprehensive education that prepares us for the industry while also fostering personal growth and development. The college's diverse culture and supportive environment make it an ideal place for students to learn and grow.
Q4. What do you plan in future?
I would like to contribute my career in both marketing and HR streams, as well as modeling. As I continue to develop my skills and gain more experience in all fields, I envision myself eventually taking on a leadership role and mentoring others in the industry. Additionally, I strive to be a responsible citizen to my country and contribute towards society.
