Hello! My name is Shashank Prakash, and I am a 22-year-old MBA student at Acharya Bangalore Business School. I have a passion for writing and performing arts, which I have been cultivating for the past four years. I have learned how to balance my passion, studies, and career, making me a multitasker in my early 20s. I enjoy expressing my thoughts through writing and bringing them to the stage, and I am always open to new learning experiences.

Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose an MBA at Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS)?

I studied science and electronics in my PU (Pre-University). Although I was quite enthusiastic during my first few years, my enthusiasm didn't last long as I entered my second PU. However, I managed to clear my subjects and found myself comfortable in a place where I could communicate and team up with people for a common cause. This experience prompted me to take up BBA, which gave me a better understanding of the real market scenario globally, including how finance and human power work. This fascinated me to continue studying and pursue my master's. I chose a B-school for my higher education to learn more about networking and become industry-ready. Acharya has a good group of experienced teaching faculty and a placement department that is well-versed in the industry, which helps students understand and adapt to the current corporate world. The campus is spacious, with updated libraries, great amenities, and a lush green environment that makes studying here a comfortable experience.

Q2. How you crack admission in Acharya Bangalore Business School? What all entrance test(s) did you give? Any coaching classes that you took for preparation? Any other colleges that you were trying out for? What challenges did you face while opting for ABBS?

Q:   Is MBA available at ABBS?

A:

Yes, MBA is available at ABBS under School of Management. This course is offered in affiliation with Bangalore University for a duration of two years. Apart from the regular MBA course, various value-added programmes and certification courses are also provided by the institute for the better learning of candidates. Admission to MBA at ABBS is done through various national-level entrance exams. Aspirants can qualify MAT/CMAT/XAT/CAT for admission. The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in ABBSSAT, national-level entrance exam and personal interview round.

Q:   Is ABBS good for MBA?

A:

MBA programme offers access to global management knowledge, corporate internships, and placements from top companies.

Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS) is a highly ranked MBA college in India. It's consistently ranked among the top 1% of the best Business schools in the country.

ABBS is ranked among the top 50 business schools in the country and ranked among the top 20 business schools in the South Zone, also ranked 34th in the Overall Category in India.

The institute is affiliated to Bangalore University. Moreover, ABBS is also accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), National Board of Accreditation (NBA), and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with Grade A.

I attempted PGCET exam to do my postgraduate studies. I cleared the exam with a good ranking. A few weeks of preparation and planning helped me clear my exams with ease. According to my ranking, I had four colleges listed out. I had to choose a university among BU and VTU, and a college which had good remarks and facilities. Acharya was indeed a boon for me as it was the only B-school for my ranking and located at a feasible distance. My only expectation was to study in a college with experienced faculty and good placements, Acharya had it all. And the minute I knew all this and after hearing about this college from my fellow seniors and sources, my admission here was hassle-free.

Q3. How do you spend your time at college? Which classes do you like to attend? Which extra-curricular activities are you a part of in college? If given a chance, what else would you want to do? How has your college experience changed you as a person? What opportunities do you see in the future?
