The BA/BA (Honors) liberal arts programme offered by the Manipal Centre for Humanities (MCH) has been meticulously crafted to provide students with a flexible yet rigorous introduction to contemporary humanities. The curriculum, designed in alignment with Ivy League and other esteemed international universities, caters to students aiming to advance their academic pursuits or embark on careers in corporate, creative, and public sectors.

Prospective students often encounter the challenge of selecting a major subject due to diverse interests or uncertainties. MCH's programme addresses this by offering flexible pathways. Initially, students need not commit to majors until completing their first year, allowing ample time for exploration and evaluation. The foundational year introduces multidisciplinary concepts, aiding informed decisions before progressing to the sophomore year.

Distinguishing itself, MCH presents three pathways post foundational year: Explorer, Innovator, and Consolidator. These pathways accommodate students' interests, offering choices between majors and minors to cultivate expertise and versatility. Students may opt for a standard bachelor’s degree after three years or pursue a BA (Honors) by engaging in a fourth-year research track. Additionally, a semester abroad opportunity at Deakin University, Australia, enriches the academic experience through credit-sharing.

MCH offers majors in English, Sociology, History, Philosophy, German and Intercultural Studies, French and Intercultural Studies, and Spanish and Intercultural Studies, with corresponding minor options. Supplementing academic rigor, credited coursework in Extra Disciplinary Competencies (EDC) such as Time Management and Digital Skills ensures holistic development.

Led by faculty with doctorates from renowned national and international universities, MCH provides comprehensive education reflecting scholarly expertise and interests. Alumni have secured fully-funded positions in prestigious universities abroad, while others have excelled in diverse sectors, including media, advertising, governance, and creative industries, benefiting from robust writing and argumentation training.

Prospective students can rely on dedicated support services during their transition to college life, with various support centers and redressal mechanisms available throughout their tenure at Manipal. Detailed programme information is accessible on the MCH website, facilitating informed decisions.
