Jamia Millia Islamia extended the application form submission dates for various courses in view of the nationwide lockdown extension announced by the government on April 14 to combat the novel coronavirus spread. Earlier, the university admission registration process was scheduled to conclude recently. Now, the last date to submit the application forms is May 4, 2020.
JMI confirmed the news by publishing a press release on its official website. The official notice released by the Delhi-based Central University states, ‘In view of the extension of the Lockdown period and guidelines of the MHA dated 15/04/02020, the online filling of Admission forms of the university including schools has been further extended till May 4, 2020. ‘
Interested and eligible candidates, who have not registered yet must know that the online application forms are available on the official portals at www.jmi.ac.in and www.jmicoe.in. The Jamia Millia Islamia online admission forms are open for all UG, PG, PG Diploma, Advance Diploma, Diploma and MPhil/PhD programmes offered by the University.
The Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, Professor Najma Akhtar launched an admission web portal for receiving application forms for the session 2020-21 in February. The Prospectus 2020 of Jamia admissions for the next academic session was also launched by the Professor and the online forms for Jamia admissions were made available from February 21, 2020.
Earlier, the University scheduled to conduct the admission tests from April 18 onwards. However, with extended admission registration dates, it appears that the University will release fresh dates for the admission tests as well.
According to the consolidated revised guidelines issued by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, educational and training institutions will remain shut until May 3 across the country in the view of nationwide lockdown announce by the government to control the COVID-19 spread.
