A total of 7,106 applications were received across 68 different PhD programmes offered by various faculties, departments, and centers of the university. JMI PhD Admission Process 2024-25 Details

The university's decision to offer 68 PhD programs across different disciplines has garnered significant attention from aspiring scholars. The application process, which was initially scheduled to conclude by October 30, 2024, was later extended until November 15, 2024. Additionally, the form remained open for editing until November 18, 2024, allowing candidates to make necessary adjustments before final submission.

JMI PhD Admission Tests Held at Six Centres on Campus

The PhD admission tests were successfully conducted on November 30 and December 1, 2024, at six distinct centres located within the Jamia Millia Islamia campus. These centers were equipped to handle the large number of applicants and provided a smooth examination process. The tests were conducted for various research disciplines, and candidates were evaluated on their subject knowledge and research aptitude.

Vice-Chancellor Visits Test Centres, Reviews Arrangements
To ensure the smooth execution of the admission process, Prof. Mazhar Asif, the Vice-Chancellor of JMI, along with Registrar Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, visited the test centers during the examination period. They were accompanied by the team from the Proctor Office and the Controller of Examinations. The Vice-Chancellor expressed his satisfaction with the arrangements and commended the efforts of the Office of the Controller of Examinations in managing the large-scale process efficiently.

Transparency in the Admission Process

In a bid to further enhance transparency in the admission process, the Vice-Chancellor has instructed the Office of the Controller of Examinations to issue a scorecard for each student. The scorecard will detail the final marks obtained by the candidates in the admission test. This step ensures that candidates have clarity regarding their performance and reinforces JMI's commitment to transparency in its admissions.
