Harayana government school teachers will now record and upload tutorials online, to help students continue with their studies during the lockdown imposed by the government, to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus.
After Prime Minister Narendra Modi imposing a nationwide lockdown, to slow down the spread of the COVID-19, the Harayana government school teachers have decided to start online tutorials for the students.
This move has been done in order to ensure that over 1.87 lakh students studying in 112 government schools in the state do not suffer from this lockdown. All the government school teachers have started recording and uploading tutorials on the higher education department's website so that students do not miss classes during this time.
Students can now also access the Sikha Setu app to access all the lectures uploaded by the teachers on various subjects.
The Haryana government has also started a competition titled COVID Sangharsh Senani, through which anyone either it is a teenager, youth or senior citizen can upload their inspiring poems, songs, story, messages or speech on haryana.mygov.in. This is done to inspire everyone to fight coronavirus by staying inside and maintaining social distance.
As per the official notification, a maximum of 100 entries will be allowed every day from around the state. Awards ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 1,000 will also be given to the best entries, an official notification said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared a three-week nationwide lockdown starting from Tuesday midnight, stating that it is the only way to avoid the further spread of novel coronavirus which has claimed nine lives till now in the country. India as of today recorded 562 positive cases.
